Arriving on a Sunday in a very devout Roman Catholic country made for a quiet day. We were happy for the lull. I'm not sure the RCI should visit.

We just walked around and toured the city. Not many people took dollars here, might want to get some euros.

Martinique is a big let down and tourists need to be advised there is nothing to do in Martinique unless you arrange a tour or get transport to nearby beaches. The only souvenir shopping is a tent market by the dock. The harbor is in an historic (translated - old and rundown) section of the city. The locals only speak French and all shops are priced in Euros. We went back to the ship and enjoyed the empty facilities. Read Less
