Water taxi to local beach usual bed charges no umbrellas and dreadful French hospitality.
We waited for 90 minutes on the jetty for our return journey which we had already paid for before the water taxi came and was 85% full from a neighboring beach and we had to wait another 35 mins before one came back with growing concerns of missing the ship .

Beautiful quaint town. Be wary of ferries going to the further beaches as they may reduce service and you may arrive late to port. Fairly easy to walk around town. The cathedral and library are amazing. There is a small beach at the end of the boardwalk which is really clean and beautiful and right next to the Fort. You can walk about a mile into this beach and the water level does not rise! ...
