I wanted to try a 2 week cruise. The itinerary changed because of the hurricane. We enjoyed all of the ports as we had been to only one of them. Each island had something different to offer. We did not care for Martinique as the people there were not as friendly & accommodating as the other islands.

The ship was very big & required alot of walking but it didn't hurt to do the walking, after all the food was wonderful no matter where we ate. We did try 3 specialty restaurants & enjoyed them. We like O'Sheehan's & the Noodle Bar. It should be open for lunch as we would have gone more. The music entertainment was great we enjoyed them all over the ship but the Atrium is TOO SMALL. Could have used some additional trivia & other things to do. You have many main events going on in there & there is not sufficient room to accommodate the passengers.

The Staff was wonderful very efficient, courteous & friendly. We enjoyed talking with them.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin OB

Cabin was roomy & we had the beds separated as it gave us more room between the beds. We had a very nice Cabin Stewart & enjoyed all the towel animals that he made.

Port Reviews

Aruba

We took a local cab to the beach & had a wonderful time the water was fantastic 79 degrees in the water. When we returned we did some shopping & had a great day

Curacao

Walked off the ship & took lots of photos of the Breakaway as you got a wonderful view of the entire ship - it is tremendous. We also enjoyed all the little shops & the walk to the futon bridge that we crossed over to the wonderful shops that were so very pretty. Took lots of photos & got photos of the bridge opening also. There are no real beaches & it was enough to just walk around very interesting & beautiful port.

Bonaire

We left the men aboard the ship as they didn't want to go shopping or looking around town. We walked into town & took some photos. Found some very interesting stores also. Was another Dutch town & it was beautiful. We had a wonderful time talking to the people & finding out all kinds of information. We had intentions of going to the beach & seeing the flamingos but when we returned to the ship & had lunch we just didn't feel like going out again so we went to Spice H2O which was really great as we were the only ones in the jacuzzi & enjoyed the area for the afternoon.

Martinique

Was very disappointed as there was no organization at all at this port. No taxis & they would not accept the dollar only euros or credit card. We decided to just walk around the port but we met a woman who recommended a local tour & would take us to the beach also - they had a small bus so we decided to do that. We had a lovely tour of the island & she took us to a local beach as there were many locals which was very nice. We also got chairs & tables to use in the shade. The water was magnificent so relaxing that's for sure. We got to stay a good hour at the beach & then went back to the ship. Boy I'm glad I didn't drive there very confusing. We did some shopping at the local little places along the water as the regular stores were closed.

St. Lucia

I had a local fruit beverage in Martinique so my stomach was not well & I had the runs so my husband & I stayed on the ship. After breakfast I took a nap & then we went out on shore to the places that were right by the ship. They were all very friendly & nice & we got some things. Our friends went to the beach & they said they had a wonderful time.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We took another local bus group & went to the beach once again - We got to the St. Kitts the Atlantic & the Caribbean sides so that was interesting & we were on a regular beach as well as a black beach & the chairs & umbrella were very reasonable $5 each. We also did some shopping but had a lovely time at the beach & we always made sure that we were back in plenty of time to make the ship
