The Viking Star is a brand new ship and it is very nice. With a few tweaks it could've been great. The room was adequate in size but the walls were not sound proof and we had to call front desk to get our neighbor to turn down his TV so we could sleep. Comparing cabin service with other guests on the same cruise, I conclude that service was uneven and mixed. Dining room service was also very mixed. The Viking Star is a fantastic ship! Truly enjoyed the Chef's Table and Manfredi's restaurants. The soups and desserts were wonderful. Several jokes as I was the only male in a group of 6. We enjoyed our cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes very much. We did not opt for an upgraded cabin. The standard cabin was fine for sleeping and showering. We did opt for a window. We had a cabin on the 5th deck, which had a large, unobstructed window. Though there's a walking path all around the 5th deck, no one can see in - we checked that out.
