The Baton Rouge stop is set up to accommodate those who do not want to walk very much. Taking 45 minutes at the old capitol and a hour in the new building to look at where Senator Long was shot and go up to the observation deck along with the new museum for 45 minutes would have been a better tour for me, but I am still quite mobile. ...
The shore excursion in Baton Rouge was fun and informative. There was a coach tour of the city which was more beautiful and interesting than I had imagined. The tour included a stop at a state museum of Louisiana history and culture that was fascinating. There was not enough time to see the whole thing, but knowing it was there, I left feeling interested in returning and spending more time there ...
A bus ride to St. Francisville. The brochure had promised a stop here, but the itinerary did not have us in port there. Nice plantation. Silly button store visit. Tour guide provided nothing of interest, historically. Just how much she loved her town, etc. ...
