My husband and I have always cruised on larger ships and wanted to try the small ship cruising experience. Also, while we have traveled oversees many times, we really haven’t seen as much of the U.S as we’d liked and felt it was time to explore our own backyard. We heard that American Cruise Lines was the best option for small ship cruising in the U.S.

The overall American Cruise Lines experience was fantastic. From the food, to the staff, to the many interesting places we visited, we had an amazing time.

ACL staff went out of their way to make the cruise enjoyable and would accommodate any special request such as a specific wine or a different dish than was on the menu. The quality of the food as well as the presentation was topnotch. Not only was there a great selection of southern cuisine, but a variety of other options to choose from as well.

Cabin Review

Cabin Owners suite

Excellent. Spacious. Clean. Amazing Views.

We stayed in an Owners Suite which was very spacious with bathrooms larger than on most cruise ships. The room was kept spotless throughout. We also enjoyed our large private balcony where we had amazing views of the river and room service breakfast as we cruised.

Port Reviews

Oak Alley

Oak Alley plantation was beautiful . Spent our time leisurely walking the magnificent grounds.

Baton Rouge

Rosedown plantation was a favorite tour. The guide did an extraordinary job telling us about the history of the home and the area.
