We chose this cruise because we were celebrating my parents 50th Anniversary and they didn't want to fly so out of LA we have two options, Carnival or RCCL. Having cruised Carnival many times I suggested RCCL thinking / knowing it would be a better fit. All I can say is that I was very underwhelmed by everything on this cruise. I was on this same cruise the end of January and had a great time, granted there were much fewer people on board.

Embarkation was smooth. My parents are Diamond level and had an Owners Suite so they had a dedicated line. We went through the regular line and it was pretty quick, I think we were onboard within 30 minutes.

It seemed to me that the ship was quite understaffed. We had dinner in Chops Grille the first night, all of the food was very good but it took us nearly 3 hours to get out of there. The same young lady that seated us also took our food orders, our drink orders, delivered our food and bussed the table! At least in the main dining room they have a head waiter and an assistant waiter, why in the world would you at least not have this same type of service in a specialty restaurant?
