"The really big thing that let the ship down and the reason I’ll not take another p&o cruise again was the food.Perhaps p&o should stop bringing in old fresh frozen from thousands of miles away and use British fish caught just down the road...."Read More

1-10 of 28 Southampton to the Canary Islands P&O Britannia Cruise Reviews
We chose this cruise because it went from Southampton, we are not happy to fly at present.
Embarkation was an absolute breeze.
The ship looks fantastic a real gem.
Every member of staff you meet smiles and goes out their way for you they really do emphasise customer service particularly Joseph in the atrium bar he was just omg far to good at looking after everyone.
The layout of the ...
We wanted to visit Madeira and Lisbon so we chose this canary island cruise and booked one year in advance. The sailing was smooth and the cabins were of a reasonable size. The ship was in good condition and clean. The problem was that there were too many people and this made it very difficult to get into a lift.We were on level 11 so needed the lift. This meant waiting a long time to find space in ...
Hi,
Hopefully you will not be board by the length of this but felt it would be useful to give some hits and misses for the cruise I have just been on. The sea was a little rough on the way to the Canaries which personally I think is ok - sick bags were at the ready on the stairs and hallways! It was sad to hear over the tannoy of so many medical emergencies. One was at about 11:30 on the ...
Decided to try a cruise from southampton. Embarkation very good disembarkation exceptionally good. This ship does not have any wow factor and appeared to be a little bit on the dull side with decor and is quite bland. The cabins are functional but the bathroom area is the smallest we have ever used on any ship as when you step out of the shower to dry yourself it is a tight space and on this ...
Please think carefully before traveling with P&O. The first thing we noticed after embarkation, was the smoking area directly below our cabin. Starboard mid ship. The smokers were also given a prime spot right at the back of the ship. We usually love to stand and enjoy the wake experience but passive smoking was again a problem, despite climbing higher, we were regularly breathing cigarette smoke. ...
Chose this cruise ship as it is very new and seemed good value.
Had an outside cabin but still not very sure how large people would cope as it was very cramped.
The tap water in our cabin was apparently drinking water but tasted pretty awful , and upon speaking to reception were advised to boil it first.
The bottled water P AND O sold was £1.65 per 500ml, I pay 17p at my local ...
To be together with some of our family, this was our fourth P&O cruise.
The best of all on Britannia was the great service received during breakfast and supper at the Oriental and Peninsular Restaurants. An absolute pleasure. This is also so true about the service and friendliness at the Sunset Bar. Christian our cabin steward (A711) was just great always there when needed without being in ...
We wanted a last minute holiday and as Britannia embarked from Southampton this was hassle free as no flights to coordinate with transfers etc. Embarkation ran very smoothly and was very well organised. Once on board we were able to go straight to our cabin on deck 12 and could not believe our luggage was ready and waiting for us. Our deck 12 balcony cabin was very comfortable. Tastefully ...
We chose Britannia because we had not been on it before and we wanted to see what we felt about it. It was going to the Canary Islands to some places we had not visited.
Embarkation was a breeze, we arrived at the port of Southampton and were on board in 15 minutes. We had priority boarding fortunately and as the shed was full of people I would think they would have to wait a long while to ...
We are seasond cruisers and have been on most if not all, of the P&O and half of Princess fleet. This is the first time on a brand new ship. We arrived at the allocated time for embarkation feeling quite smug, we had the wind taken out of our sails when told, 'it makes no diffrence ' sit down and wait your turn. Our turn was around 45 minutes, about average from previous times in Southamton. No ...
