Having experienced their river cruise previously, wanted to try the ocean version with Viking. I was not disappointed by the experience. I found the company extremely professional in their approach to just about everything. The organisation/logistics efficiently well managed. Catering on board....great choice of restaurants/food and beverages and wonderful crew service at all times. The cabin ...

Wonderful Northern Lights and Norway Trip

We picked this trip to see the Northern Lights and Norway in winter, to remind me of growing up in the snow! The crew - ALL OF THEM - are amazing, unfailing nice, and make this cruise a really wonderful time. They read and respond to your comments on a daily basis so if you need something they really do take it into account. Seriously, cannot day enough good things about all the crew. Even the ...

We booked the cruise for a chance to see the Northern Lights, and we were fortunate enough to see them on 3 occasions on various days; although not undulating and luminous as one would hope, they were still quite good. Our cabin was comfortable and provided everything we needed. Steward service was outstanding. The debarkation went well and without problems, although the airport did not open ...

The adventure of a cold vacation in beautiful Norway, with the chance of seeing the Northern Lights was a draw. Great time on a beautiful ship, full of cozy places to read, visit and explore. The Spa was fun and so nice to be able to use it as often as we wanted. Massage staff very good and helpful. Embarkation and disembarkation were the smoothest and least amount of hassle of any cruise ...

Seeing the Northern Lights was on our bucket list. This was the first cruise we noticed that offered that opportunity. We have sailed Viking before so we were aware of the restaurants, food, etc. so we snapped at the chance and signed up. Obviously, sailing the north Atlantic in JANUARY is probably not the smartest thing to do if you get sea sick easily, and there are no guarantees that the ...

This was the best ocean cruise I have taken. The ship, crew, food were excellent. The cabin was large a comfortable the plenty of storage. The crew were friendly and very helpful. While the cabin was one the least expensive on the ship, it was spacious with plenty of storage and a large bathroom. All cabins have balconies. My cabin was directly above the theater, and there was sound from the ...

From London on the Thames to the land of the midnight sun

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the excellent reputation of Viking's ocean going vessels. Because the ship docked in central London we were able to visit friends and family without incurring additional expenses for hotels and transportation. For others who might choose the same cruise, essentially a day and a half are available for sampling the highlights of London, one of the ...

This was my 59th cruise. We booked our air with Royal Caribbean. The gave us nice flights with only one stop from our home base just outside of Washington, DC in Bethesda, Maryland. We purchased the transfers from the airport to the ship, the bus was clean and took a little over two hours to reach the ship. Since we are Diamond members we were quickly checked in, were on the ship, and buzzed on ...

This was definitely a cruise I should have used cruise critic. I always do, except here. Never again. We booked Normandy, Loch Ness, Jameson brewery & tour of coastal Belfast. All were an A+. I recommend each one. We took the hop on, hop off buses in the rest of the cities. ...ripped off. ..at least a 1/3 more in cost. When I got back and complained, she said she checked and they weren't that much ...
