Disappointing

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

The overall cruise was disappointing. I ordered room service almost everyday on the cruise ship and each time the food was cold. They give you leftover fries and wrap them in plastic after they warm it up. Room service took about an hour each time I ordered and food was still cold.. food selections are horrible.. no real restaurants besides the steak house. Beverage Drinks are made up for you ...

Without going into a lengthy explanation here are the higlights: 1. The food was horrible in every restaurant except Izumi and CHOPS (those cost extra). We had mold and hair in our food on 4 ocassions, cold food, wrong order, someone else's food, food so cold hollandaise sause was solid like an omelet, uneatable food and appetizers brought after dinner to say the least. 2. The ship is ...

The absolute worst customer service I have ever seen on any cruise line.

My family and I had booked the explorer of the seas hoping for a wonderful vacation over the holidays. Little did we know it would completely turn us off of cruising for good. The customer service was absolutely atrocious. When we booked our room we had made sure that they were joining balcony rooms due to the fact that I have a large family and one room would not be enough. The lady who we booked ...

After an awful cruise on Oasis of the Seas we were looking forward as a family to go onto Explorer of the Seas. One of the main reasons for choosing this ship was the flowrider and after being promised that it had been fixed prior to our sailing once onboard found out it was still broken.(needed a new pump) The sports team were fantastic and once fixed the following evening kept it open ...

The ship is very, very tired and in need of a major overhaul. Rust all over the place especially at the balconies. Itinerary changed 3 times before we sailed. Even RCCL survey at the end of the cruise wanted us to review a port we did not even go too. My Time Diners had to wait over 2 hours to be seated. Food was very inconsistent and way below RCCL standards. Some venues were not open for diner ...

Worst food and dining experiences ever, along with other service issues.

We have sailed on 9 different Royal Caribbean ships in the last 7 years. There are always a few issues here and there, most of the time just to be overlooked. But not on this ship on this sailing. Our trip departed from Miami on May 14th, 2022. We were originally scheduled to stop in Bonaire, Curacao, and then Aruba. Without any notification to us, the itinerary was changed a couple weeks ...

I chose this cruise for the itinerary and also booked this ship for a future repositioning cruise. I will be canceling the repositioning cruise asap. They only have lettuce salad with the fixings three times during the week???? What is that about? Have never been on a ship where this wasn’t available in the Windjammer. The only reason I came to the Windjammer was because the pizza on deck 5 was ...

My wife and I did the Southern Caribbean Cruise out of San Juan on December 5, together with other family members. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean in the past and had great experiences. The company has obviously changed, however, and my experience this time was a nightmare. First, everyone in our group booked a specific stateroom and paid in full for the cruise at the time of booking. ...

RCL where "the customer is always Wrong"

I chose this cruise as a replacement for the one that COVID-19 got cancelled back in March 2020. This one had the same departure location (San Juan) and actually a bit of a better itinerary (6 island stops). I had never cruised with RCL before but heard good...boy was I wrong. Here is what went wrong for my combined group of 7, 4 cabins: 1. The terrible customer service started after we ...

First of all let's start by saying that I booked a deluxe balcony suit and spend over $18,000 on a 9 day cruise for my family. To start off, the cruise didn't even include transportation from the Miami airport to the dock. That was an additional charge. Once we boarded we couldn't even go on to our private balcony because it was covered in exhaust soot from the boats exhaust. The bed was hard as a ...
