We have always wanted to visit Ireland and it is not often that cruises around Ireland are offered. We spent a night in Dublin before boarding the ship in the afternoon. We did Norway in the winter on Viking and couldn’t wait to return to our favourite country with Azamara and a Norwegian captain.

Be ware-- while Oceania's cruise prices are mostly back to "normal" our cruise was not. As you will read in reviews by others, there are many differences with prior cruises on Oceania. We chose this cruise for the itinerary which included a stop in the outer Hebrides and the Orkney Islands.
The ship is very nice though the design is odd. A good half a dozen times we encountered other passengers who joked about being lost / felt confused by the layout. The pool area creates a separation between cabins, and not in a good way.

We chose this ship and itinerary because we wanted to go to the Normandy landing beaches. The cruise also included many ports we had not previously visited, so we were looking forward to it!
