Definitely not worth the money! Service was not that great either

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

Honestly I was told Celebrity cruise are a step above the rest. More like down grade, the boat is definitely showing aging in the room other parts. I paid for a deluxe veranda. Still got two regular chairs so big balcony with nothing on it. I strongly don’t recommend buy drink package, because you wait 30-40 minutes for a drink, I couldn’t even get a good buzz going. The main dinning for was ...

Not a Good Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

I will start with the good stuff because there isn't much of it. My waitstaff in the MDR was wonderful but I felt bad for them because of the complaints about the food, the time it took to get it, the taste, portion size, etc. The Guest Relations Desk was very helpful. The Casino staff was wonderful, very helpful and attentive. Getting on and off the ship was so easy and fast. I love the Lawn Club ...

Disappointing - one of our worst cruises.

This was our 24th cruise but only our 2nd on Celebrity. We just retired (ages 59 and 63) and this was to be our cruise to celebrate our retirement. This ship is in dire need of upgrading. We struggled to find a single chair anywhere in the public areas where the seat had any support at all, they were so old there was no cushioning left in them, fabric frayed and stained. This included the ...

Covid warning

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

The cruise was understaffed and was not diligent in sanitizing public areas. We both came home with Covid and the day before we disembarked in Ft. Lauderdale the captain announced 1% of the passengers had tested positive for Covid. No follow up, no mention of contact tracing. The staff was excellent but only one bartender and no wait staff in bars and lounges. We have cruised on Celebrity for ...

Food not up to standard

Always rated high in many areas. Food in the dining room and buffet, very bland and very disappointing. Ship very clean, above avg. staff, the solarium was great. The food is what really brings down the rating. Nice inside, cabin bathroom didn't have a lot of space. Samana not ready for cruisers, yet, not worth going on a beach tour, very poorly planned by Celebrity. Will try Celebrity again, ...

First and last time cruiser

Thought a cruise was a good way to see multiple places and not have to pack and unpack but we were disappointed. Arrival at ports were poorly planned, many of the facilities looked like they were from the ‘80’s. Food was just ok staff seemed overworked and especially in the buffet area grumpy. My idea of a vacation isn’t waiting in line to board, get food etc. shows were ok even with a drink ...

We were looking forward to this cruise being we had cruised Celebrity 12 times before and were always satisfied with our cruise. This time was a real let-down. We had an Aqua class room and ate at Blu restaurant. The quality of food was not good. We sent back a number of dishes. The staple salad (Caesar) came to the table limpe. As if it was laying out for some time. The strip steak was ...

Overhyped Cruiseline IMO.

After not cruising for 7 years, I went on a cruise for the first time on NCL to try out a different cruise line. Last year, I thought NCL was terrible but after experiencing Celebrity Equinox it's really put that cruise line into perspective. Just to give some clarification, I've been on two Celebrity Cruises but it's been over ten years since I've cruised with them. Our family was a loyal RC ...

Celebrity's "premium" status is gone. It is aspirational, at best.

Just finished the cruise. Let me start with the positives. Embarkation in Miami was super smooth, Despite Equinox's age, our cabin was well maintained, spotlessly clean, bed and linens very comfortable, and cabin attendant was amazing. Specialty restaurants were excellent, (well, Murano was superb, Silk Harvest was very good, Tuscan Grill was just okay. Oceanview buffet offerings were fresh, ...

The boarding from HELL!!!!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

The ship debarked passengers in Fort Lauderdale and sailed to Miami to embark our cruise. Celebrity schedulers should be forced to take and suffer the itineraries they make. Miami cruise terminal had no support to guide disabled passengers. We will never board there again. When we finally got to the check-in line they kept putting people from other line in front of us and then they closed ...
