Honestly I was told Celebrity cruise are a step above the rest. More like down grade, the boat is definitely showing aging in the room other parts. I paid for a deluxe veranda. I will start with the good stuff because there isn't much of it. My waitstaff in the MDR was wonderful but I felt bad for them because of the complaints about the food, the time it took to get it, the taste, portion size, etc. The Guest Relations Desk was very helpful. The cruise was understaffed and was not diligent in sanitizing public areas. We both came home with Covid and the day before we disembarked in Ft. Lauderdale the captain announced 1% of the passengers had tested positive for Covid. No follow up, no mention of contact tracing. Always rated high in many areas. Food in the dining room and buffet,very bland and very disappointing. Ship very clean, above avg. staff, the solarium was great. The food is what really brings down the rating. Nice inside, cabin bathroom didn't have a lot of space. Samana not ready for cruisers, yet, not worth going on a beach tour, very poorly planned by Celebrity.
