This ship is gorgeous and breathtakingly
Fabulous! There were plenty of wonderful hideaway places for privacy and relaxation. The service was attentive and polite. The fitness area and spa were designed with thought and grace.
The attention to detail in the design were everywhere. The art was modern and tasteful. The food was excellent with a lot of variety. The embarkation was seemless and ...
BACKGROUND INFO
My parents and I were on the 3-night Pre-inaugural sailing December 1-4. I am 53; they are 76 and 77. I wasn’t part of the original plan but they asked me to join them and I enthusiastically said “yes!” My husband and I will be on the Edge May 2019 for the Iberian Peninsula itinerary so this trip afforded me a sneak preview. The three of us were in 11200, an S1 ...
SAVE your money - SAVE your time - SAVE your breath for complaining, you will need it. We were SUITE CLASS guests travelling in a Sky Suite so we had access to The Retreat with our fare. Firstly, lets just say this ship is not your "typical Celebrity experience" . There is no secluded Micheal's Club with an intimate gentlemens club feel. There is no luxurious Luminae Restaurant with ...
We are an early 40s couple and have cruised a lot with various lines including Celebrity which is our favourite. Had watched The Edge since it was announced and couldn’t wait to check her out. Wasn’t sure if the ship would live up to the hype and we were also on a preview cruise so expect things to not be perfect. Verdict...Loved it!!!
Embarkation so quick and easy in the new terminal. Liked ...
I chose Celebrity because I've sailed with them twice before and every experience has been excellent. Also, Edge is the newest of the fleet and I was excited to see and experience all it had to offer. Over a year of anticipation and I was so disappointed. So here goes... We sailed from the port of Fort Lauderdale and embarkation and disembarkation was easy breezy. No problems there. Upon boarding ...
I was very excited to learn that I would be on the first paying customer sailing on the much hyped new Edge, it sort of went downhill from there. The new terminal is great and embarkation was probably the smoothest I have ever experienced.
The ship itself is very nice- like a boutique hotel. Which is good and bad. Good if that is what you are looking for, bad if you want to feel like you are ...
Of course, the time and financial effort for a 3 day trip was not really worth it. But we wanted to go on this new ship. From the beginning Celebrity made a big hype about this ship. I never believe these advertisements, so I did`t expect too much.
But to be honest the EDGE is a wonderful ship. I love the design. The public spaces are fantastic. However you can see from the cabins that the ...
Took 3 day cruise Dec 6-9, 2018. We had a inside room on 11th deck. I liked the closets on each side of the room and the bathroom. Room was ok and got the job done. I can't quite figure out who thought it would be a good idea to put so many pillows in a small cabin. I think we had 14 or 16. Now their biggest problem they are going to have with the cabins is the veranda rooms and not for the ...
The term “game changer” gets tossed around quite a bit these days, but to describe the Celebrity Edge, one would be hard pressed not to use game changer as a perfect description to this beautiful and innovative cruise ship.
The innovation begins as soon as you arrive at the new, state-of-the-art terminal that Celebrity built expressly for the Edge. Gone are the long lines and dozens of ...
We choose a suite with its large room and outfacing bed. The bathroom with its separate water closet, double sinks, and large tub was impressive. The wood rocking chair was a nice touch but, being oversized it did get in the way. The Suites Retreat and sundeck was outstanding, no kids, no crowds, simply fantastic.
The Cuisine as usual was wonderful and one of the reasons we choose ...
