The cruise was wonderful. I thought 18 days would be too long a cruise but hated to leave the ship in Fremantel..We were a party of 4 traveling. . The ports of call were outstanding, had great weather and the staff made the trip extra special. We were in Aqua Class and enjoyed the extra space and Blu Restaurant. We boarded the ship in Auckland. We went two days early and stayed at the Hilton ...

First time cruising with Celebrity and it won’t be the last. We found our trip to be a really positive experience. The ship had many different areas and was so spacious that is was hard to believe that over 2,500 people were on board. Positives Stateroom (Verandah 2A) was large and well appointed with big comfortable bed, sofa, lots of hanging/cupboard space and a very generous sized ...

We have completed our eighth cruise with Celebrity on the Solstice. It was a 14 day journey from Auckland NZ to Sydney Aus. It was our second trip with the Solstice. We stayed at the Auckland Hilton pre cruise. We highly recommend that stay. Everyone there were friendly, caring and very informative. The exciting part was the morning of our cruise the ship actually docked off our hotel ...

First Cruise, Fabulous; Will Cruise Again

Decided to go on the Christmas cruise for a change with my husband and our two teenage boys. Even though we are New Zealanders we thought it would be cool to see NZ coastline from the sea. We have travelled a lot but never on a cruise. On the whole really loved Celebrity Solstice, the room, food and also the entertainment. The itinerary was just great with a mixture of port stops and days at ...

We wanted to see new zealand and stay in sydney. nz cruise surpassed our expectations. we loved eating a formal breakfast most days and meeting funny people. our room was very comfortable and the staff was most helpful. the ship entertainment was quite good! We loved even the wild and wooly weather crossing the tasmanian sea. we did our own thing in most stops, but did partake of the ...

We've taken more than 25 cruises in the past 15 years and this is our second time on Celebrity. The itinerary was terrific and our "package" included round trip air LA-Auckland, Sydney-LA AND hotels in Auckland (2 nights) and Sydney (3 nights). The cruise director, JC, was one of the best we've seen (although he was absent the first 3 nights). The entertainment was diverse; the ship was lovely; ...

Celebrity Solstice Auckland to Sydney return voyage

This was our return voyage on the Celebrity Solstice Auckland to Sydney, as we were on the same ship Sydney to Auckland, back-to-back cruise. We were in the same stateroom on our return journey, which was convenient, not having to unpack and repack. This was a completely different cruise on the way back to Australia, as we were advised by a delivered letter to our stateroom on 12 December by ...

I have just returned from a 12 night cruise around New Zealand and back to Sydney. I travelled with a family group of 10 so we were quite a crowd. We have travelled as a family many times before and this cruise was everything we had hoped for, The Solstice is a very large ship with a LOT of passengers and crew. Never-the-less, we only felt crowded when trying to dine and I was surprised at how ...

This was our second cruise on the Solstice, the first was to the South Pacific. We were very wary of cruising New Zealand, as we prefer warmer climates. The weather in general was good and the seas we encountered were mostly smooth. The Solstice is a beautiful ship with very friendly staff, with plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Auckland is a beautiful city....as are the seaside towns ...

Intro: My wife and I have been on maybe 10 cruises but never Celebrity. We are active and in our mid-40’s. We live in northern California and are serious wine and wildlife lovers. I always book DIY tours and the only pre-booked tour I reserved was ‘The Squeeze’ in Rotorau. Auckland: We spent first two days in the Hilton Princes Wharf. The location was ideal. The boat docks so close to the hotel ...
