I am going to focus and not repeat much of what the other reviews say.
We were a little put off pre-cruise about some of the reviews on the Millie's age and condition. While there are definitely signs of wear - a few rust spots here and there and other small things - we considered them small and they did not impact our enjoyment of the cruise. This was our first Celebrity cruise and we were ...
There were 3 couples on this cruise, my husband and I, my parents and his parents. Before our cruise, the 4 parents all went to Denali and did a helicopter ride on a clear day to see the mountain (recommended by the way!) My husband and I met them in Anchorage and the next day we took a quick tour of the city with a ride down with a stop at the Alyeska resort and the Wildlife Conservation Center. ...
My family and I were invited on this cruise by my cousin who wanted to celebrate her retirement later on this year. I was a part of the younger group of my family so of course we had different experience than the older part. Embarkation was a breeze and everyone we encountered from the airport to the ship were super friendly. The ship is very, very large yet the cabins are the complete opposite. ...
This cruise was recommended by our Travel Agent. We were very disappointed with the ship and the food. While the staff was courteous and accommodating, it couldn't make up for where the shipped lacked. We found it a rather boring cruise with not much to do on the ship. The sit down dinners were extremely disappointing. The beef was tough and full of grizzle. The chicken was rubbery. The ...
We chose this cruise because of the Alaska destination, the price, and especially the fact that it was a 5.5 star Celebrity ship. This was our first Alaska cruise and even though it had a different feel from the Caribbean cruises we usually do, we thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere is relaxed, less frenetic, a little more dressed down but still classy. The food was delicious and service ...
Went on this cruise to celebrate my sisters and I birthdays. As far as having family together it was fine. But the amenities and everything else on board were just barely standard. Several things about this cruise were off
1) To start with i purchased an upgraded room and the room was just what i had on other cruise lines for a lot less money. We did have a nice veranda though. We were suppose ...
We did not choose this particular cruise - other family members coordinated the entire event; half of the group had lived and worked in Alaska many years previously. Some of our group completed a self-guided interior Alaska pre-cruise tour, including 3 nights in the Denali area. We arrived for two days pre-cruise activities in the Anchorage area; the last folks arrived the night before the ...
I specifically picked this cruise based on the published route to travel north between Vancouver island and the Canadian mainland of British Columbia. We wanted see the beautiful Canadian coastline. So what does this captain do but go right out the strait of Juan de Fuca and miles out into the Pacific Ocean before turning north to Alaska. We missed the entire Canadian coastline and the ...
After a study of all the Alaska cruises out of Seattle and Vancouver we settled on Infinity out of Vancouver based on itinerary and value looked good because of the drinks packag3 included.
Boarding worked quite well but was a bit convoluted. I wasn’t expecting to go through US immigration in the terminal for instance.
The ship was in good condition, no complaints about cabin. Main ...
Celebrity gave us the best deal for a group/family cruise.
The staff were excellent as was the food.
Cabins were clean and had plenty of storage. We had three in a veranda stateroom but wouldn't want a fourth person in there.
The ship is dated and needs a good cosmetic overhaul.
Onboard activities didn't really excite us too much although we did enjoy the MickeyLive show every day to ...
