We chose this cruise because of the Alaska destination, the price, and especially the fact that it was a 5.5 star Celebrity ship. This was our first Alaska cruise and even though it had a different feel from the Caribbean cruises we usually do, we thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere is relaxed, less frenetic, a little more dressed down but still classy. The food was delicious and service excellent. The ship decor and feel was very tasteful with modern flair, subtle color schemes and beautiful public areas. The entertainment was great too! We loved the house band Dynamix, the production shows and comedians were awesome. Our Favorites, however, were the naturalist Brent Nixon's talks about Eagles, sea otters, orcas. Brent knows so much about coastal animals, environment, weather, ecology, and his presentations are fun, informative and so dynamic that I wanted to join his sea kayak expeditions! Saying a lot coming from a prairie girl! Also Miss Amanda's Beyond the Podium presentations were fun and gave us a real feel for the history of the ports. We especially enjoyed the talk about Skagway. Unfortunately we didn't get the Titanic presentation but I'm sure it would have been wonderful...an award winning show. Our only complaint would be that the Sky Lounge, near the top of the ship and at the front, with the best views of anywhere on board, especially for seeing the Tracy Arm portion of the cruise, was only open to the general public for a limited time, and then closed for private functions. ( I think art shows!) it seemed like the people who wanted to look at art could be anywhere else and leave that huge lounge for those who wanted to see Alaska! So get up there early on the Tracy Arm day for great indoor views, and to hear Brent Nixon,s commentary...absolutely outstanding! Overall we loved this cruise!

Excellent adventure cruise!

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom
Cabin 10 1047
We had an inside cabin that was larger than any other inside cabin we've had (14 cruises so far). Lots of storage great bed and bedding, excellent location 1047...and a great steward Lucas!
