What a poor cruise. May be good for families with kids, but as an older couple who went outside of school holidays, this was a disaster. Over 400 kids. We were expecting a few younger kids but not this number. As a result all pools were full and the over 18 area was full unless you got there before 9am. If you want not to be jostled/hassled by kids, I would check how many are going.

Our first cruise and we are not impressed. Drinks were too expensive we even had to pay for our drinking water in our cabin, average entertainment, most uniformed officers (except for Manuel, Eric and the Captain) ignored us and other guests. Most of the time we were sick due to the rough seas. We were hoping the ship would have had better stabilisers to not feel the motion of the waves.

WE have been on this ship before but as the prices have dropped so have the amenities - the entertainment was non existent, two shows worth watching, pre recorded music, nothing whatsoever to do during the day, never spent so much time in my cabin EVER. "The Dome pool is so named as it has a retractable roof, which can be slid across during inclement weather."
Rubbish. We had such bad weather the slides, golf, sports area and single ping-pong table were closed for most of the trip, and it too windy and cold for the pools to be used except by the most hardy, yet the roof was not closed.

The cruise was cheap until we boarded the ship. My wife and I have had many cruises in Europe and unfortunately i am copmparing the Carnival spirit to them.
The up side was that the room was great and very clean. SAhower and ammenities worked well.
The down side was:

Expected Better from Carnival . I have been on Princess Cruises several times before AAA++ and wanted to try a different cruise line. Had a Group of 18 . Where to start , Boarding Ok except for the Wine being taken off us on embarkation no big deal but still on Princess you can bring one bottle per person.
