Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

This was my families 8th Carnival cruise. First time on Valor Room attendant didn't clean the room to good. He only fixed the bed and took out the trash, didn't vacuum the whole time. We only asked for the room to be cleaned once instead of twice and he didn't do a good job at all. We might have seen him in the hallway 3 times total. They confiscated our fan at embarkation and didn't even tell ...

The ship is american hero theme in decor but there are non american references to the idea of valor as well. I don't know where Scarlett Ohara fits in valor. The exterior public exteriors are art deco a throwback to classical cruise ships. There are movies every night on Lido deck. Bingo is ridiculous $5,$20,$30 per game. You can drop almost $100 per session and there are 2 a day. I stayed away ...

We had a balcony and inside room and compared to Norwegian, these were large. Old Tv and very slow service on the tv. The employees were very nice. The steak and seafood restaurant are to die for. Order the oysters at the seafood restaurant and the artwork desert. Very cool presentation. We traveled with 4 teenagers 15-17 and they were bored a large portion of the time. Not enough for them to do. ...

Let me start by saying I have done 4 Carnival cruises and never had a bad experience until now; our last Carnival was 3 years ago. Cabin- we had Deck 7 interior, mirror on wall was smashed needed repair. Toilets did not flush frequently. Bed was comfortable and room steward good. Lido Deck Buffet- SOS daily, never a change. Steak House, served my husband a New York Strip with a bunch of ...

Too crowded to be enjoyable

This was my second cruise (both Carnival), and after enjoying the first so much, I was greatly looking forward to being on an even bigger, newer ship. The experience, unfortunately, was pretty lackluster. Embarkation and debarkation went smoothly--much more so than my last visit a few years ago, so I was happy with that. There was standing in long lines, yes, but the lines moved pretty quickly ...

Disappointed

We selected this cruise because it went out of Galveston and was during Spring Break. However after sailing on other ships was disappointed in the service. Long waits in the dining room, food passed over me to guest across me and even asked to pass a plate down to another guest. Also disappointed that there were not a lot of activities for teens to do other than hang out in the Teen Club and ...

Bus driver parked at the far end of the building.Because there porter were gone we had to carry are own luggage to the ship.Having breathing problem s made this extremely hard and husband has leg issues.. We picked a time when the potters where to be there. Carnival sent them home early. Smart move Galveston. After making to the ship they had taken down the photo set-up for boarding the ship. The ...

Party of 8 in 3 cabins... 1) Poor room Steward...rooms were to be cleaned every AM-Morning but it was never done as requested. 2) Food was just warm and we had long lines in the dining areas...and then finding a cleaned table was a task as well. 3) Keep close tabs on your Sail & Sign card charges while on the ship: 4) We had unauthorized charges to our Sail and Sign card for ...

Things are changing with Carnival

We chose this cruise for the price and now I understand why it was very affordable. You get what you pay for. The balcony room was good, however, Carnival does not enforce the no smoking on balcony policy. We had smokers on both sides. The food was the worst food I have had on a cruise ship and the worst I have with Carnival. The only thing that was enjoyable wa the deli made to order sandwiches. ...

Needs Help

Embarkation was very smooth at 1:30 pm. However, Carnival needs to let people know that between Jan & Apr. there is a real problem with fog in the harbor. Even though I scheduled a 1:30 plane departure, it is quite possible that I could have missed it. We heard lots of horror stories about ships docking after 11:00 and then with an hour plus to the airport, missing their flights! Ship is supposed ...
