The Liberty is a fine ship I have been on 8 different ships and I found the Liberty to be clean and well laid out. The new 2.0 upgrades were nice . I HATE THE NO SMOKING POLICIES I get a balcony just so I can smoke and now that has been taken away. This will be the single biggest reason I do not book a future cruise. This was our fourth cruise and the second cruise on the Glory. It's a much improved ship after the 2.0 renovation. Much better use of deck space with the Serenity decks and usable basketball court, volleyball court, and miniature golf course.

We arrived at check in and moved swiftly through with wheelchair assistance around noon. Our steward was actually cleaning our room as we arrived at cabin 9287, he was great, our luggage arrived around 4. sail away and the drill went smoothly. We took our first ever cruise on the Carnival Freedom. With nothing to compare it with I can only speak about this experience but we have no hesitation in recommending it.

We stayed at Country Inn and Suites at Port Canaveral the night before the cruise because they offer a very inexpensive park and cruise package and provide a shuttle to the Port. This was a repositioning cruise from San Juan to Miami. We had back to back getting off the new Getaway onto the Splendor The itinerary on Carnival was excellent visiting 6 ports. This was a great cruise, you never know what your going to get when you travel a lot. This was our 17th cruise with Carnival and the last time on the Glory was a miserable experience. On this trip we used the new tunnel to get to the port of Miami and it was incredible, straight into the port and no traveling into downtown with the back roads, traffic and stoplights. No toll.

The Carnival Sunshine... Overall, our cruise was wonderful! We arrived at Port Canaveral between 10:00 - 10:30 a.m., and with Faster to the Fun, we were through security, check-in, and into the waiting area is mere minutes.
