This was our fourth cruise and the second cruise on the Glory. It's a much improved ship after the 2.0 renovation. Much better use of deck space with the Serenity decks and usable basketball court, volleyball court, and miniature golf course.

Embarkation was a breeze. We took the transfer from the airport and walked onto the ship immediately behind the "Faster to the Fun" people. So glad we didn't spend the $50 for that. Staterooms opened about 1:30pm and luggage arrived before 3pm. This was the fastest we've ever been unpacked and settled in.

Much has been said here about the food and while I don't disagree with some observations, overall it was just fine. This was our first time for the "American Table" and were admittedly a little apprehensive. Turned out not to be an issue for us. If not having a tablecloth helps keep costs down that's fine by us. The tables are finished nicely. We actually liked have the bread box and the water on the table to help ourselves. We enjoyed most, but not all, of the offerings, and we certainly never left the dining room hungry. The "Rare Finds" were usually really good, and in the rare event that you couldn't find something in the Entrees there was always, the Salmon, Steak, Chicken, and Porkchop to fall back on. My wife and I each had to do that once, but only once. The Braised Lamb was our favorite, and was among the very best lamb dishes we've had anywhere. The Mahi Mahi was excellent as well. Dining room service is not what it used to be. I know that's been said on here ad nauseum, but it is true. Our staff was friendly, and caring, but had a large area to cover. Depending on how/when the other tables arrived we would be served quite fast, or unfortunately at times, quite slow. And by that I mean we were finishing dessert when it was time for the next seating. The fish and chips place was our "go to" place for lunch and it was all good. As others have noted, the pizza was good but slow. We both thought the coffee on the Lido deck was unusually good for the quantities that they had to be making. We always had a second cup in the mornings. We ate burgers at Guys once and they were good, but we never did make it to the burrito bar. Maybe next time.

Excellent room location. Close to forward elevator and stairs. Easy off, easy on. Was a little worried about the noise but it turned out to be a non-issue. The only time it got noisy at all was in port and we were part of the crowd getting off and on anyway.
