Fun Cruise with Friendly Service and Adequate Ports of Call

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

My wife, 4.5-year-old son, and I joined our neighbors and their two boys (almost 5 and 3) and had an enjoyable cruise to the Bahamas from Baltimore on board the Carnival Pride from 30 December 2018 to 6 January 2019. In keeping with my TripAdvisor review style, I offer the following feedback: Home Port (Baltimore). The port is easily assessable from I-95, making it a great airfare-free cruise ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We chose this cruise due to port proximity and cruise length. We live in North VA. The Grandeur seemed to rock and sway more than previous ships we have cruised, the weather did not seem bad enough most of the time to cause the extreme rocking. The Grandeur staff was friendly, other than the French lady at the excursion desk, she seemed to be tired and irritated every time we spoke to her, ...

12 Night Holiday Cruise, 2018

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

This was probably my 12th time on Grandeur, but my partner's very first cruise. I always wanted to go on a holiday cruise and this was the perfect opportunity. It has been about a year and a half since I last sailed on RC, and some changes weren't for the better. The dining room menus have changed a great deal, and the food was not of the quality I have come to expect and appreciate. We ...

Within 20 minutes of our home. Second time on the Pride, and we had fun. Wind prevented our last port, Freeport, otherwise, all went well. Best time was the full day in Nassau at the Atlantis, doing everything they offered, aquarium, slides etc. Our waiters in the restaurant were terrific, Hari, Rommell, Ague. We had our table moved from rear to front and Matre de was very helpful. Ship has ...

I chose this cruise because I recently moved close to the port and so many individuals have expressed their love of the ship. I took my father, husband and three children on this cruise and it was our first cruise out of a cold port. We expected some cold weather but not most of the days to be cold but that couldn't be helped by Carnival. The staff to embark was excellent and provided one of ...

Relaxing. No lines

Baltimore is close to home. Saving airfair allows $$ for massages and a suite. The extra room and balcony was great. A quiet place to relax. Room service was great on a rocky sea night. After a busy day on excursions it was wonderful to have some room to stretch out and relax. I want my vacation to be relaxing. For excursions we go snorkeling so a lack of physical activities on board are not ...

Great ship, but be prepared for an older crowd

Fantastic ship, wonderful crew, and lots of fun on the ship. Overall, great experience! A few specifics: Ship: Very well cared for, always clean, and we always saw people dusting cleaning, and keeping up with the wear and tear of use. It's a very small ship that doesn't require a lot of walking to get places. That's one of the things that attracts the much older crowd. I think the median age of ...

Embarkment and disembarkment in Baltimore is smooth and awesome. They are truly a wonderful port to cruise out of. As for the dining experience, the wait staff go above and beyond. BUT.....the food choices need to change. It is the same mundane food every day. They need to have someone in charge of the menus who can change things up. Most of us decided to eat in the windjammer instead of the ...

My wife and I just came back from a 14 day (Nov. 4th thru 18th) Carnival Journey cruise out of Baltimore on the Pride. We stopped at: Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Bermuda, St. Lucia, and St. Martin. We had a fantastic time. We booked an interior room on the 8th floor right below the food court (it's like having the world's best kitchen just up the stairs!). The room was large, comfortable, and ...
