This was a New Years cruise. New years eve is the premium day of the premium cruise of the year. I would be ashamed to put out the dining room menu that was offered. You can look it up for yourself. You could have done as well in any diner. The service however was impeccable as if they were trying to cover up for a lousy product. At the current rate of decline, I would not be surprised to see ...
Let’s start by highlighting the positives…hmmm. Well most of the crew was pleasant. The attendants at the buffets were great. Food was extremely mediocre. We ate at the buffet because of the kids. The room was nice. My blanket was dirty so I took it off the bed and requested a new one. Most dishes were bland and overcooked. Fish tasted like cardboard, chicken was dry and very little flavor. Very ...
I have been on a fair amount of cruises
this was my first time on Royal Caribbean and I was very excited, this has been a Royal disappointment. This is the hottest boat I have ever been on, the AC cannot keep up with any of the rooms. I was sweating profusely the entire time.
The PA system in my room was broken, the tv was broken, the shower was dirty and rusted, they made me sign a contract ...
This year we decided to take a Christmas cruise with our family and Oasis of the Seas seemed a good choice, but what a let down! As a diamond member I've cruised more than 15 times with RCL and never expected this regression, it seemed a Carnival Cruise but more expensive. At dinner you could barely move between tables since the ship had more than 6700 passengers and tables were added to fit all ...
By far the coldest ship we’ve ever been on, the air conditioning must have been at the highest level. All the bars and lounges were freezing, we saw people coming in and shivering and leaving again. The restaurant was so cold the food went cold very quickly. We were told it was centrally controlled and could not be altered.
The shore excursions were a disaster, some because of the weather which ...
I've been sailing with Carnival for over 10 years now, and I never have been on a ship this ill-prepared to handle its passengers. The ship was over-capacity, as it was a Christmas cruise. When sailing during breaks, I expect the ship to be at capacity. What I didn't expect was the absolute sheer number of families, and a ship with not enough staff to accommodate them all. First off, there were ...
I booked this cruise because of the dates which covered Christmas and New Years 2023 into 2024, I found out this was a big mistake. Solo traveler's and a female, i felt like a second class citizen, I must have been invisible and when I spoke up to be heard or repeated what i would like even with the word please, i was even ignored and walked away from. This ship must have hired all new people for ...
While transferring my very large baggage (40kg capacity) from the port to my room, one wheel broke completely, making it impossible to move. They only offered $50 for the repair of the baggage and, when asked if there was a place to repair it onboard, they said no. After this cruise, I had to visit five other cities, with a flight immediately after disembarking from the ship, which we barely ...
Now that I am waiting to disembark the ship after an 18 day sailing on the MSC Divina I will leave you with my own personal review of this ship. Take it as a grain of salt like you would anyone’s review. We all have our own personal likes, dislikes, standards and personalities. Learn, get an idea and just go and have a great time on your vacation.
Ok onto my own thoughts.
EMBARKATION - ...
Sailing MSC makes you realize how some other lines really get it right. And what it's like when done wrong. The itinerary decided this try, and my brother in law sailed this very ship March 2023 for a short jaunt to ensure it was a good choice. He had a great 5 day Caribbean cruise so we were excited to try MSC for the first time on a special Christmas cruise.
SUMMARY: I hope your family ...
