We are a couple who joined two other couples chose this cruise because it started and ended in Auckland NZ. We have done around 20 cruises including three half world cruises over 30 years from Ponant to Paul Gaugin through Cunard, Sun Line, Carnival, P & O (UK), Princess and Celebrity.
At 3000 passengers it was the largest ship we had been on (our other cruises were all on 2000 or less ...
Do not take the cruise to NZ starting and ending in Auckland. We just got back (the 2025 date is for next year obviously). We went 2024 February.
Got to the airport and Princess has organized a taxi. This was extremely awkward as the guy told us how poor he was a lot and we felt we needed to give him a tip ( this was our fault).
Embarkation started around 11am and was efficient.
The room ...
I would never recommend this cruise ship to anyone. We joined this cruise to celebrate our special wedding anniversary - this is our 7th cruise - but unfortunately its all about money and not passengers. Our towels in cabin were not changed for 6 days - apparently the laundry couldnt cope with daily changes. The cafes food was the same for 14 days, tables not cleared when passengers left - ...
13 Night Auckland to Auckland round trip in February 2024 travelling to Bay of Islands, Sydney, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga. Occupied The Napoli Suite on Deck 14 (Rivera) being an S4 Penthouse.
The ship was in excellent outside condition - very well maintained, with plenty of deck staff attending to cleaning and ensuring towels were removed from vacated chairs ...
We chose this cruise as was in the tail end of the school holidays for us and it left from our hometown of Auckland and came back to Auckland. This was a joint cruise which already had people who had boarded in Sydney and who disembarked when we hit our second port of Sydney. Once there, another load of people embarked. The organisation of those of us in transit in Sydney was much better ...
Having done 28 cruises [19 with princess],this was our 1st since covid 4 years ago.We have had all 6 vaccinations for covid plus the flu jab & taken buccalines [& have never been sick in these past 4 years].So decided to go back to cruising, what a mistake that was.Boarded in Auckland,3 days later kicked off for 5 hours in Sydney for a ship deep clean because of gastro according to the captain,by ...
We chose the Coral Princess for a short vacation with friends, jumping on in Auckland back to Sydney. We have done this hop previously and found it to be a relaxing break with easy of travel over to NZ. There were several Princess ships offering this mini cruise from Auckland and the Coral date and pricing suited our needs but would have happily tried any of their other ships (Royal was in port ...
I love the Pacific Ocean, the islands and the Pacific People. I like a lot of sea days as shore visits take a toll of my damaged feet. I'm a loyal Princess cruiser and also have been on the Coral Princess before and love the smaller ship with the amazing quirky decor.
In terms of the staff - they were all so lovely and friendly. I've added a photo to show that we are not the average couple, ...
A second world cruise this one to celebrate retirement and selling my business at 73. Compared to 2011 the list of changes makes for a ho-hum experience. The major is that Princess has gone back on their Loyalty Programme that I joined 15 years ago, The major is that elite was promised free internet and now have to pay. That cost me 1000 dollars additional, Perhaps I would have reluctantly ...
The Coral Princess is a beautiful ship. The décor is very different. If I were to name a style I would say the the Universe Lounge was Steam Punk at sea, the Wheelhouse bar was old world charm, warm and inviting, and the specialty restaurants were mediterranean. The Shops of princess featured stained glass windows. Everywhere you looked it was a visual feast. Highlights were the wrap around ...
