"This is a long review. I've tried to be fair with my criticisms and compliments. Here goes... We just got home from our third Viking cruise (1 river, 2 ocean) sailing from Amsterdam to Barcelona on Viking Sky,..."Read More

1-10 of 17 Viking Ocean Cruise Reviews for Luxury Cruises from Amsterdam
It was a Scandinavian cruise and we went to a lot of different ports. The best thing is that the weather held up the whole time we were there and there was no rain and the temperature was quite comfortable, which I understand is not the norm in those countries. We took an optional excursion in Hamburg, Germany to see the Neuengamme German concentration camp and memorial, which was well worth it ...
Family cruise to visit relatives in Oslo. Great ports with lots of activities in small cities which made for a real flavour of Norwegian life. Lots of time in each port to see and do what we wanted. Service was top notch as usual with a feeling that everyone cared for every passenger. Entertainment was good with a variety of performers.something for all to enjoy.
We had food in a number of ...
My ancestors came from Denmark and we wanted to explore the area. Went with 3 other couple.
Our ship, the Viking Ski had difficulties on previous cruise in rough seas. This trip had more enclosed waters and we figured Viking would do everything possible to make our experience unforgettable. We were not disappointed.
We were extremely lucky to hit the peak of tulip season and the tour of ...
This was our first ocean cruise but we had been on 3 river cruises. We had some concerns about how we would cope being on the sea rather than on a river. We chose this cruise because it was short, with only the first day at sea and then a different port stops for the remaining 6 days. It was very close to a river cruise Itinerary. When we saw the promotion for this Viking Shores and Fiord cruise ...
We went looking for a Norway/fjord cruise and an extension on our own for a couple of days in Iceland - this ship seemed to fit the bill. Virtually brand new ship and this was our first time on Viking.
Our initial impression was that the decor and furnishings on this ship are excellent and well thought-out. The public area furniture is comfortable but not clunky and the general decor is ...
We booked this cruise to see the Northern Lights. We did see the lights several times. Unfortunately our cruise was cut short due to losing engine power in the middle of a storm. We were evacuated by helicopter. All in all, Viking, the crew, helicopter rescue crew, the Norwegian Red Cross, the support personnel, and the people of Molde were excellent in responding to assist us. Viking tried ...
If you are searching for a European adventure, look no further than Viking's Amsterdam to Catalonia 10-day cruise!
After cruising with Viking River Cruises in July 2017, we decided to give Viking Ocean Cruises a look-see. We were not disappointed! Although the ocean vessels are larger and accommodate more passengers, we enjoyed the same fantastic experience as on the river. Viking's attention ...
Our first Viking Cruise, and what was the most memorable to us was the fact that there was no casino, no inch of gold, no constant announcements about tacky sales. What it did have was resident historians who provided lectures as well as informal opportunities to ask additional questions about the ports and their cultural and historical histories. I might also mention that our Cruise Director ...
Cruise visited ports that were on my bucket list and all trips were great. The ship staff were excused everything about the ship is fantastic.
The food is great and the choice of selecting restaurants at no cost allows for great choices and room service is always available
Great ship as there is a limit of 960 people, therefore there are no waiting lines for any activity. The tours are ...
We wanted to see Amsterdam and Barcelona and thought the other ports would be interesting. Our relatives accompanied us to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Our two days in Amsterdam were switched to our arrival day after traveling all night and we had to be on the boat about 5 for the emergency drill. So don't expect to see Amsterdam if you book only the cruise. I would never had booked this ...
