I loved American cruises so much that I just came back from a second one. I took one earlier this year. I felt safe from Covid- everyone has been vaccinated on board, and we all had covid tests before embarkation. That made for a very comfortable, secure trip. It's nice to get to travel after all this time and not feel worried about the virus.
The ship itself had a lot of old world charm. ...
The food was poor to say the least. The airline chicken consisted of an unseasoned piece of meat with BBQ sauce poured on top. To make matters worse, it was raw in the middle. The short ribs were cold when they came to the table and heavily laced with fat and grizzle. The portobello mushroom sandwich consisted of two burnt pieces of toast and a mini mushroom in the middle. The baked potato was ...
We cruised for the first time on American Cruise Lines on their Grand New England coastal cruise for 10 nights on American Constitution. From the first day on board, we knew that this ship was not ready to sail. This cruise was over booked and understaffed. All of the rooms were not ready at the time of embarkation. Some people didn't receive clean towels until the second day of the cruise. The ...
DH and I are from Upstate NY and are in our early 60's. Of course, Covid wiped out two cruises we had scheduled in 2020 and two in 2021; our TA called and wondered if we'd be interested in an American Cruise Lines sailing. She had recommended the Columbia/Snake River cruise, but I saw the Puget Sound cruise and thought I'd like to try it.
Covid added some extra requirements; we had to submit ...
Wow! Best word that I can use to describe our wonderful trip aboard one American Cruise Lines newest ships, the American Harmony, as we sailed along the Columbia & Snake rivers during the middle of June this year. This eight day/seven night cruise along the same route of the famous Louis & Clark expedition of the early 1800's, exceeded all of our expectations regarding river cruising. Departing ...
We wanted to be on a smaller ship that was reported to be a luxury cruise . We have been on multiple cruises but never a River cruise before .
We wanted to tour ports in New England .
It never should have gone out . I think it was one of the first ships post covid to go out .
Very understaffed . Deeply disappointing for the money spent . I have celiac and spoke with the chef upon arrival ...
The brochure made the cruise line sound wonderful. Paid twice as much as other cruises and received a Motel 6 experience. I cried. Within 2 minutes I realized we had been duped. Asked for an immediate refund. No matter what, no refunds. Old, cheap furniture. The bathroom had a urine smell. There was no headboard on bed. The cheap blinds didn't work. Bolts were missing on window frame. The ...
I loved this cruise. All the employees and also all the passengers were friendly and fun to be around. This is a smaller boat so we all got very close during the cruise. The crew all came to know everyone by name. Being on this boat was a refreshing change from the big ocean cruises. Everyone got to know everyone, which made for a great atmosphere. The stateroom was bright and cheerful with ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to visit the northwest of our country and experience Lewis and Clark's incredible journey and exploration! This cruise revealed the rugged beauty and amazing wildlife of the Pacific Northwest. Itineraries follow the waterway along the Washington/Oregon border and cruise a portion of the Snake River as well. We stopped along the river and saw some fantastic ...
Took wonderful trip with American Cruise Lines, aboard the America, for an 8 day cruise from New Orleans, LA to Vicksburg, MS, back to New Orleans, LA. had wanted to do a cruise on the Mississippi for well over 10 years so finally decided the time was right, following so long under Covid 19 quarantine. This was only the second cruise allowed by the US Coast Guard since restrictions were lifted, ...
