Covid Cruising

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Allure of the Seas

I know context can be important for these reviews, so to give an idea of demographics, we are a married couple in our mid twenties with no children. It was my second cruise, and my husbands first. As you can imagine, we were not as affluent as the majority of the cruise goers, and also were quite a bit spry in comparison with the demographics of this cruise (the cruise was almost entirely made up ...

Long time traveler on royal. Diamond plus. Signature at casino royale. Ship less than 1/2 capacity. So not crowded. Staff excellent especially in coastal kitchen, suite lounge, solarium restaurant, and windjammer. Staff made guests feel welcome. Cabin attendant was excellent. Kept room perfect stocked with ice. Casino was the opposite. Slots not paying off. Worse than any ...

We were excited to be back on the high seas and it was our first cruise on an Oasis Classed ship. Our last cruise was in 2018 on Celebrity Reflection. We have been on 15 cruises with several RCCL, Celebrity, Carnival, HAL, and Princess. Celebrity had been our favorite up until the last experience with them. We tired of the endless beatings for the drink packages, automatic tips, reduced offerings ...

Friends asked us to join them on this cruise pre-covid. Was not sure it would even happen with all the other cruise cancellations however it went off without a hitch as they say and Royal Caribbean did not fail in making passengers feel safe during the 7 day trip. Embarkation was a breeze but had to show documentation 4 times before being allowed on board. All employees were super friendly ...

We were excited to go on a trip since we have been locked up since 2019 like most people. We were also pretty worried/ concerned with the surge in cases prior to our trip. here is a review on what to expect while you cruise during this pandemic. (the highlights and changes from your normal cruise) 1. Pre Cruise: Royal Caribbean was very active in sending reminders and updates with health ...

Great Time - Disappointed with Port Changes

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

My wife and I chose this cruise to surprise my folks and relatives, and it was an amazing success!!! My wife and I flew into Fort Lauderdale from Chicago the day of the cruise. This makes my wife a nervous wreck, but seeing as how we booked last minute it saved us almost $1000 dollars on airfare, hotel, and food. Amazingly, from the time we landed to embarkation was less than an hour. We ...

Great, but could have been better

I will start off saying our cruise experience was really good. Overall, our party of 5 (4,25,26,54,55 y/o) all had a blast. We had two rooms and the service at our rooms was really good. Our head waiter (Joey) was great in the dining hall. A little shy, but slowly broke out of his shell. For the food, it left us wanting more. Some items were great! Some, not so much. We got a lot of over cooked ...

Good Times on the Allure

Lots to say about this cruise: Embarkation: We had The Key and arrived to the port before the doors opened. One door was clearly designated for Key members. We breezed through Security and check-in, then were escorted to the Key waiting area in the terminal. The waiting area was divided into groups for Suites, Pinnacle, Diamond Plus and Diamond members, The Key, then the remaining boarding ...

This is our 3rd time on RCI. Our first was on the Oasis and the second on the Freedom. We chose the Allure so that our kids (young adults) would enjoy the amazing shows and the great activities on board. Ship: the OASIS class ships are by far the best for activities. The Allure will soon go into retrofit to get the latest new activities added (waterslides, etc). If you have young teens or ...

Allure Halloween Trick or Treat?

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Allure of the Seas

User Avatar

We have previously done Halloween cruises on Oasis and Harmony of the Seas. The Halloween party on Oasis still remains the best. The party on Allure was much like the one on Harmony and lacked the planning, execution of the show as on Oasis. Without a stage like they had on Oasis it was difficult to see the entertainment or even the passengers that decided to parade in their costumes. On Oasis ...
