Spent far too much time and energy planning this cruise and cruise tour. The web site and app. is not user friendly and response time is hit and miss likely causing us to book our next cruise with another company. Otherwise I would have rated this cruise a solid 4, maybe even 5.
However, The logisistics and on board and on land service was excellent at all levels. This was our 2nd Alaska ...
There's a lot of things that made this entire experience not enjoyable from the beginning. Dealing with customer service is almost nonexistent. They do not reply to emails, when you cancel things on their website there's no way to tell if you're due reimbursement, where it goes, and their methodology for giving onboard credit versus a refund and when they issue is vague at best. We were due ...
We chose this cruise because of the dates. Everything and everyone was wonderful. The only fault we found was the condition of our cabin. The bathroom needed more attention to clean stains in the shower and toilet. There were stains on the bed cover so we just threw it off. We knew this was an older ship that had been refurbished. There was not enough late night entertainment. We are night people. ...
We booked an Alaska cruisetour with Princess after lots of research. Have done nearly 30 cruises with various lines including several with Princess.
Spent 7 days on a land tour first, which was excellent and ran very smoothly despite the changes of location along the way.
We chose the Grand as we wanted a smaller ship and love the wrap around promenade deck on this older class. The smaller ...
This was a 'cruisetour' to Alaska, starting from Anchorage and ending in Vancouver. The land portion consisted of a first night in Anchorage (stay was at Princess' Captain Cook), second night at McKinley Princess Lodge and third and fourth nights at Denali Princess Lodge. Honestly the stay in Anchorage and McKinley was 'irrelevant' - meaning these were not worthy stops as far as interesting ...
Terrible customer service on phone and many on ship. Older ship, needs updating. Room had an odor. Carpet, bedakirt and outlets outdated. It needs a good overhaul. Food subpar. Not much for gluten and dairy free options. They were not enthused about my food intolerances and ut ahowes. Karoke outdated. App disn't work half of my cruise. Wifi overall good but sometimes hard to connect to.. They ...
My husband and I went on this Alaska cruise as a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary (which occurred in 2020, so it was actually our 53rd). We have been on other cruise lines; this was our first with Princess. We were so impressed with our trip that we wanted to share this information.
Our stateroom was very clean and spacious....and we loved our balcony! Great to have the balcony ...
We chose Princess for Alaska because we wanted to do land and sea; Denali and Glacier Bay National Park. Princess was impressively responsive in regards to assisting after flights got canceled. We had a mini suite room onboard and it was definitely the best cabin we have ever had - spacious with a beautiful balcony, which you 100% want for an Alaskan cruise if you can at all swing it.
On the ...
Since we are older, we wanted to take our children and grandchildren on a land tour of and cruise along Alaska. We chose the Sapphire Princess because it had a Grand Suite that could accommodate all 13 of us when we got together. We have sailed on various cruise lines and had different suites. The Grand Suite on the Sapphire Princess was far and away the best suite in which we have stayed. ...
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary on this bucket list trip. We had sky high expectations and were not disappointed. This was our first time cruising on Princess and will definitely cruise with them again. Our itinerary took us to both great natural wonders at Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park as well as fun adventures like dog sledding in Skagway and whale watching in Juneau. ...
