Highly recommend this ship and the Danube river cruise. We started in Passau Germany and ended in Budapest Hungary. Thought we would love Austria the most but ended up loving Slovakia and Hungary the best. However, we loved the whole trip. The food was great. In every port we had fantastic guides. The included free excursions were really fantastic. They divided the ship up into small groups ...
I traveled with 3 of my friends. We chose this cruise because we were able to visit 4 countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany. We spent 2 days in Hungary, 1 day in Slovakia, 3 days in Austria and 1 day in Germany. We took all included excursions - Panoramic Budapest, Panoramic Bratislava, Panoramic Vienna, Gottweig Abby,Linz Walking Tour and Passau Walking Tour. Tour Guides were very ...
This was our first Viking cruise and first river cruise. From booking to our send off, everything was amazing. The Viking staff could not have done more. They live their values and maintained the highest standards. They accommodated my allergies and ensured accessibility for all passengers. Even when the weather turned nasty, they made adjustments. Every port was convenient. Their guidance was ...
This cruise was definitely the first of many with Viking!
I traveled with my grandmother and we both had an exceptional experience. We did have a great time since we departed until we got back home. Viking arranged everything for us so it was a very smooth trip all together and we couldn't be more thankful.
We were able to enjoy this trip at our own pace while being part of the fascinating ...
Having lost our spouses in recent years, my cousin and I decided to take a Viking River Cruise together. And we decided to go all the way, with the Grand European Tour, and a pre-cruise extension in Prague. The trip was unforgettable; exceptional in every way. I have never worked with a company that is better organized and more dedicated to customer service than Viking. Of course, it was ...
We had been looking forward to the Grand European Tour for over 18 months and the cruise exceeded our expectations. The views along the Danube and Rhine rivers were spectacular. The ports of call and included tours gave us an interesting view into the history and culture of the region. The two day pre-cruise extension in Budapest was perfect. The Hilton Hotel was conveniently located in the Castle ...
Originally we chose this cruise to celebrate 5 of us turning 70. But because it had to be pushed to the next year we were able to celebrate two couples 50th wedding anniversary and one friends birthday. 4 of us have been friends since H.S. and we were in each other weddings making this a very special celebration.
Viking does an AWESOME job helping celebrating events.
The staff is Amazing in ...
Our good friends invited us to join them on this cruise to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. At the time of the invitation, we were unable to commit to the trip, so we had to decline. Several months later, we discovered that we would be able to go on the trip, but we decided to keep our decision a secret and surprise our friends.
This was a trip we had dreamed about for years. When ...
This particular cruise was one we had been wanting to take for about ten years, and when the chance came to book the cruise as a surprise to two friends who would be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on the cruise, we jumped at the chance.

The staff was amazing as well as the itineraries. The cruise director (Anthony) was amazing and made sure everyone was having a good time. He saw to it, that everyone was accounted for before leaving the ship and returning to the ship. The tour guides were very well educated and personable. The optional tours were great as well. ...
