Highly recommend this ship and the Danube river cruise. We started in Passau Germany and ended in Budapest Hungary. Thought we would love Austria the most but ended up loving Slovakia and Hungary the best. However, we loved the whole trip. The food was great. In every port we had fantastic guides. The included free excursions were really fantastic. They divided the ship up into small groups with a guide each. They always had a slower group for those who needed a slower pace. We also did some optional excursions and really enjoyed those as well. Went to a concert of just viking guests in Vienna, they took us in a viking bus from the ship to the door of the theatre with a little tour of nighttime Vienna along the way. The ships “Program Director” (cruise director), was absolutely amazing. He was always available. He was always with us on our excursions and always available to help us use our free time with directions and suggestions. We absolutely loved the size of this ship, the number of people on board is small and the dining room can seat everyone on board in one seating. Nice! The staff on board were also fantastic. They got to know us and we them, with such a small ship, you really can get to know the staff well. Loved it, we’ve already booked another cruise with Viking in the fall. Can’t wait!
We were on deck 3 so 300 number cabins. We had a veranda cabin it was very nice. Heated bathroom floor was really a nice touch as the weather was cold. The balcony had 2 chairs and a table so room enough to sit and enjoy the scenery. The glass sliding doors and glass on the deck made seeing from inside the cabin also an option. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever had traveling and that says something. There was plenty of storage as well, nice flat screen TV with many movie options. Room also has a safe, hairdryer and viking provides shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, and lotion.
Really great city, the old part is right close to the port and a nice walk. Had a nice tour around this city, wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful and some nice prices as well.
