Having been away from Alaska since 2018, we were excited to travel north aboard CROWN princess for an 11-night adventure. We last sailed on CROWN to the Caribbean in 2018. We recall that cruise event as having the best food/service in all the Princess fleet we had ever experienced. Not to be the situation this time. EMBARKATION: Went well. Well organized at Canada Place, Vancouver. The ...

We choose this ship due to the time of departing Vancouver and returning. We had been on other Princess cruises and felt confident that Crown Princess would meet our satisfactions. The deals and specials were our liking also on this ship. We got our cruise through a travel agent. Vancouver not too far away we got parking at the ship terminal which cost us over $300. for 11 days. But very ...

Great itinerary, slow service

We chose this cruise because of the wonderful ports of call in AK and CAN. We ended up with fantastic weather which made the cruise even better. We had extended time in most of the ports of call. Our favorites were Juneau, Ketchikan, and Victoria. Icy Strait Point does not offer a lot if not doing an excursion. The town of Hoonah is close by, but transportation there and back was challenging (no ...

This was the third Alaska cruise that I have taken with Princess Cruises. We were on the Crown Princess on the Lido deck. We cruised with my parents and Adult children. My parents and my husband and I had no problems with our room but our kids room was ‘broken’. The a/c didn’t work, after 2 days of trying to fix it they gave them a fan. Carpet coming off of wall, gross stuff growing on the balcony ...

A fun time - no major complaints but a number of minor ones

This was my 10th cruise, but my first on Princess, my first ever visit to Alaska and the first cruise that didn’t require air travel (which also typically requires a day or two of hotel on each side as well). It was also my first non-warm weather cruise. Seven of my previous nine cruises were on Carnival, one was on NCL and one was on Louis in Greece. Overall, the cruise was very nice. Like ...

Cough, cough. Learning to cruise with Covid

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Crown Princess

The evening I got home from my cruise I tested positive for Covid. As I have been four-times vaccinated, I am confident my symptoms will not last more than a few days. But I do have to question why Princess no longer positions a crew member at the buffet entrance checking the use of hand-sanitization (like it used to do in norovirus days and on all my previous cruises with the cruise line). As ...

We joined friends for this cruise. I was in the navy and did many 5 day sails to and from Hawaii. My wife really wanted to go and even though I had reservations I agreed. The ship was good and the trip was good for the first half of the trip. We had some slightly rougher seas but they slowed down slightly to reduce movement. My wife has food allergies and the dining room floor manager did a great ...

Good but not our Best

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Crown Princess

The Crown Princess is a lovely ship. It’s well maintained and its crew was polite and helpful. We have sailed with Princess before but it is not our first choice. This trip did nothing to change that. We felt the Crown lacked the vitality we have come to experience on Carnival. This is particularly true of Carnivals newer vessels (the Breeze and Magic). There simply is more to do on Carnival. ...

After an impressive cruise with Royal Princess earlier this year, we were very disappointed with this Ship particularly the Horizon Court buffet layout, quality, choices, and service. It seems you feel like a bunch of chicken running with their head cut off around a small gated, fenced, and over controlled area. They even tried to charge (adult only) for a hot chocolate at breakfast in Horizon ...

Chose this cruise because it was different than what we have done before. It started in Vancouver and then went down the Pacific coast: Seattle WA, Astoria OR, SanFrancisco CA, Santa Barbara CA and finished in Los Angeles. Seemed like embarkation was very slow--long lines. Cabin was pretty good, did show some wear--shower very small, had a good room steward. Horizon Court buffet, where ...
