My first time sailing with Cunard having sailed mainly with Royal Caribbean (14 cruises) and I was so disappointed.
1, the stateroom was nice but the balcony was stained and rusty.
2, the ship felt old and tired.
3, the shops on board catered for people who wanted expensive watches and jewellery, ladies clothes, booze and the normal Cunard material.
4, I didn’t purchase the $400+ ...
This cruise was a present from my employer for myself, husband and 3 year old disabled daughter.
The first night I got food poisoning from bad fruit. I was very sick the first night into the second day.
I was advised to go see the acupuncturist but it was so expensive ($400) AUS and the online doctor was just as expensive.
My daughter who is autistic was treated very poorly and my belief, ...
The ship and rooms are very nice. The staff in general very friendly. BUT,!
The customer service and organization is poor. Over priced excursions, so most book through someone else. We cruised Australia and had 4 ports that used Tenders to shore. The Tender process was terrible, wait times of 1-2 hours to get on a tender, 30 minute boat ride and then the piers were 30 mins from town. ...
The ship is a beautiful ship, that is until you look further. The buffet is crowded, the walkway is narrow. Public toilets are very small, it’s almost impossible for two people to pass each other. The food is good, the entertains excellent. However, the theatre is too small for the size of the ship. Cabins are comfortable.
Now we come to the main gripe. Lack of hygiene protocols. At no time in ...
I have been on four cruises with RCL two pre covid two since both on the Ovation
The changes I have noted on the last two cruises which were both post covid are
Cons
A large increase in the fare
A large increase in beer prices
I only have a couple of beers each day
On this ship in March 2023 a 750Mil can of Fosters was US $ 9.75 the last cruise $12.75 an increase of 31 % ...

Our cruise 21-Feb to 2-Mar 2024. We were lucky to have Good weather... so could sail through Milford Sounds – amazing.
Power points – US Type A and B, and one European Type F (Round pin) .. no AU power points. So bring your own, or ask Stateroom attendant…if they have any ...
I've only ever been on Ovation of the seas and have loved it every time, although there has been some disadvantaged like missed ports or medical emergencies, overall it is an amazing ship. There crew onboard ovation are wonderful. They are friendly and very helping. They will tend to your needs and look after to you like home. The activities onboard with sure keep those kids busy aswell as the ...
We chose this Cruise to find out if a short 4-day cruise would suit us.
Overall it was a great cruise on a beautiful ship, we had a balcony cabin on deck 8 towards the middle of the ship, the cabin was spacious and decorated nicely, and the bathroom was small, luckily we are slim built, and it certainly was the smallest bathrooms we have experienced on the 12 other cruises we have done.
The ...
I am very, very thrilled that the bathroom configuration of the XL Sea Terrace is like that of a hotel room. The cabin is also large (very big indeed for a solo traveller). Finally, a hotel room on a cruise ship!
I am too lazy to make bookings for restaurants; but apparently if you don't book before you sail, the few restaurants that require booking are filled up already. I only managed to get ...
Overall, this was a really good cruise. The ship is clean and new, staff friendly and cabin welcoming. My main concern was the specialty dining … most options on the menu weren’t what I would consider appetising. In many instances, there was only one item on each section (starters, mains, etc) that I was able to actually think sounded ‘yummy’. The exception was Pink Agave, what a great meal!! We ...
