We chose Norwegian Cruise Line Bliss when looking for an Alaskan cruise. Previous experience with NCL was excellent. Price was good.
The ship was gorgeous. Lots to do. We especially enjoyed the show's. But by far the greatest shows on an Alaskan cruise are provided by the sea & lands of Alaska and British Columbia. The mountains, bays, fjords, glaciers and whales were just ...
Went with a group of friends. My wife and I had done the same cruise on NCL 8 years ago on a smaller ship. Totally different experience. The staff at a lot of the food and bar venues were rude. A lot of the people on this ship were rude and disrespectful. How about getting on an elevator with food piled high on numerous plates, dropping it, and covering it with napkins. The elevator wait time was ...
Always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise. The experience with Norwegians cruise line was extravagant the were great! Definitely would book again through Norwegian.
The help on board were fantastic, anytime we needed something someone was right there to answer our questions and fulfill our needs.
Disembarking the ship for excursions was a little hectic with everyone trying to get off the ship, ...
The ship is great, balcony cabin was excellent and had lot of fun time. For majority scenario where a person who doesn't have dietary restrictions and didn't have to go to medical center, I would have given 4.5 stars.
My only gripe is related to uncleanliness in Medical center and inconsistent responses from the staff in Garden cafe' that affected our dietery needs (making us feeling guilty and ...
We took our entire family on a cruise to Alaska to celebrate my husbands retirement. We chose the Bliss as we have 8 Grandchildren ranging in age from 6-13. This was my husbands and my 4th Norwegian cruise, so imagine our surprise and disappointment at all the problems we had. We found the website a mess. If you schedule dinner and then an excursion, and there is a conflict, you are in trouble. ...
From the time we stepped foot on the Bliss to the the time we left. The service was over the top. We boarded at 12:30 out of Seattle and where in an mid ship balcony suite on the 12th floor. The first couple of nights the ship moved alot due to open waters Im guessing. Being mid ship in our room was okay but at the back of the boat didn't find it so great. Alaska was where we were headed. Was ...
My wife and I just returned from this Alaskan Cruise in late August. We both have mixed reviews. There is a lot to like about this ship - it's new, it's clean, it's got a wonderful spa and thermal area! We also paid the premium rate to stay in the VIP section called the Haven. Definitely worth the extra $$. The Haven has it's own dining room with excellent dinner and breakfast and ok lunch. ...
Cabin was good. Food as expected. Room was kept clean with freshtowels. Beds were better than some worse than others. Nice closet space.
Worst main dining room service in 8 cruises. Service was painfully slow. 30-45 mins to get a drink and starter/salad that was straight off the menu.
Go-karts were a ripoff. Stopped my group after 5 laps. Allowed someone to repeatedly block pass ...
I listen to z100 and Elvis Duran being that he’s The Godfather I got really excited about the new ship.
I love the ship. It has beautiful bars, restaurants and lounges. I would suggest having a few bars open later than midnight and more late night food options other than only the local pub. After 12, we sometimes felt that we didn’t have any where to have drinks and talk. There was the social ...
The cabin (balcony stateroom) was roomy, bed was comfortable, tons of storage, clean, beautiful bathroom, and the steward was remarkable.
And that just about sums up the pros.
This was a humongous, obnoxious ship filled with way WAY too many obnoxious people. It felt like a Cancun spring break for the middle-aged. I saw some really shocking behavior, and the cruise line didn't do anything ...
