Introduction : All of our pictures are posted on : http://www.flickr.com/photos/34128007@N04/ From the day we booked this cruise, our main objective was to get-a-way (no phones, no internets) and no big plan for 10 days, we are going to go out there and basically "just do it" at the spur of the moment. Missing-link : Comparing to the past cruises with RCCL, ONE biggest thing that we missed : ...

Radiance of the Seas - March 22 - April 2, 2010 !Excellente! My husband, myself, and our three girls (4, 9 and 11) decided to try an 11 night cruise out of San Diego down the Mexican Riviera and then stay an extra 5 days to visit the San Diego Zoo and Seaworld. It was great! We have a few tips for those doing a family trip below, and what to expect. The review is a bit lenthy so I've tried to ...

A Very Pleasant Cruise to Mexico!

Introduction This was our third cruise on Radiance. We had done B2B cruises last April from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso and then Valparaiso to San Diego. Because of the "Swine Flu" problems in Mexico we were not able to stop at three Mexican ports (Huatulco, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo). Captain Selvag and the folks in Miami compensated us generously with a FCC equal to 1/4 of the cost of our cruise. ...

This was our third cruise with RCI and first on their Radiance Class of ship.Previously we had cruised on the Legend OS and the Explorer OS so this gave us a good contrast with the smaller Legend and larger Explorer. This was my least favorite ship of the three and would probably not book this class again. On all 3 cruises we have sailed in Suites as we prefer fewer cruises but more "perks" and ...

This was our first time cruising with Royal Caribbean. After all the reviews we've read we expected it to outshine the other lines we've sailed with. It didn't, but it was still a great cruise. We drove to San Diego the day before and stayed at the Holiday Inn-Downtown. The hotel was very nice, but I was irked that they charge $15 to park there and hadn't bothered to tell me about it in advance. ...

Embarkation was a breeze. Stayed at the Comfort Inn Airport near Old Town. Took their shuttle to port and left luggage for a porter. Walked right through and was aboard by 11:30 AM. We have been cruising on Celebrity for the last 7 years or so, but went with Royal Caribbean because Celebrity not offering anything with this itinerary. Definitely a step down. Ship was nice. Except for toilet ...

I'm a new professional travel agent with 1 year experience as an agent but with 10 years of cruising world wide for over 17 week on 6 cruise lines. I read some of the reviews of this cruise ship and itinerary prior to leaving and found a mix of reviews. So very crittical. So I thought when I got back i'd wite up something for my peers and for anyone on this site. Here goes... Note: I paid the ...

RCL Radiance of the Sea 10 day Mexician Riveria RT San Diego cruise. Mexico was warm & most cities were clean. The Roll Call group did a lot of tours toegther. M&M was the first sea day and our group had an organized slot pull with no luck after the M&M. In Cabo we did Whale watching with a shore company. We saw several different mom & baby with companion. One of the babies was learning how to ...

We arrived 3 days before the cruise so we could take our 3 year old to Disney and Sea World. We also took in the Midway. Three jam packed days but all worth it. Stayed at the Omni downtown and it was great for the $105 per night deal we got through expedia. If we had paid the #300+ original price, I would have been upset. Embarkation: Decided to wait until the rush was over on embarkation day, so ...

We arrived at the Port in San Diego at about 12 noon and were able to board the ship almost instantaneously. After a quick bite and a peak at our room, we disembarked to explore the area surrounding the pier (as we had a few hours before the boat left). The walk was really nice; there are a lot of great sculptures (including a larger than life sized statute of the famous soldier-nurse kiss that ...
