the Freedom of the Seas : our first cruise 11 years ago was on this wonderful vessel and it still is a beautiful ship with wonderful staff great staterooms a variety of entertainment and amazing choice of fresh food, we loved our second Trans Atlantic sailing which went smoothly.
Our balcony stateroom was big enough for these 14 days and it's location was very quiet and yet so close to ...
The food was mediocre. Hope you like Indian food as at least 3 mains Indian daily for lunch at Windjammer. They can't save any more money on food- they have taken it to the lowest level.New room service menu is a bad joke- a lackluster regular menu with no spaghetti to avoid having dinner in dining room or Windjammer AND YOU PAY $7.98 FOR THIS SERVICE!!!!!! They will not accommodate people with ...
I chose this cruise because of its Port-au- Calls, which I had not visited before.
It was somewhat inconvenient as it sailed from San Juan, PR and we live in Miami, thus had to fly in the day before (the same day flight was leaving at 7 AM and had to be in the Miami airport at 4 AM.. Thus it cost me a one way ticket to SJ plus a night in a hotel plus meals (an extra $700).
The cruise had 7 ...
Repositioning and landed in Rome
End in Rome

Excursion group was not helpful, a waste and reason to choose another ship and/or cruise line. They seemed disconnected / not organized. An view held by many fellow travelers, a disappointment. They get a F.
Internet service goes down to easily and slow. It gets a C-.
Cruise Director gets a D.
Shows are a C. I could take it ...
The price was very good, the repositioning cruise is always longer, which we like. The ship was new to us and most ports we had never visited. We like to do different ships, ports and adventures. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale late the night before but slept in and had a nice breakfast at the LaQuinta Inn. The day was filled with heavy showers and we got wet a couple times but checkin went well, ...
This was an awesome deal for the money. Enjoyed the 9 sea days. Lots of activities during the day to keep you busy. The dining room service was outstanding. I am somewhat of a pillow snob so our room steward found a feather pillow to my liking. We weren't too excited about the entertainment. It seemed to be a bit weak as compared to other cruises we have been on. We really enjoyed the ...
Cruise Director..Michaela was one of the best we've ever had
embarcation was worst ever ! RCCL needs to improve their secondary terminal in FLL. Got a sinus infection after walking 150 yards downpour to get to terminal. Completely drenched.
Diamond Lounge concierge (G) was outstanding!
Main dining room food was very good. Staff was very good.
Winchester Cafe very crowded for breakfast ...
Excellent trans-Atlantic cruising experience on Freedom of the Seas
We just returned from a two week Portugal and Spain trans-Atlantic cruise on the RCL Freedom of the Seas. This was our first cruise on the Freedom and fourth in this class. It was our 40th RCL cruise and 92 overall cruises.
Others have noted the trend in the cruise industry for the bean counters to chip away at previously ...
Never tried a trans-Atlantic crossing before. If you don't want to be on the water for 8 straight days, this isn't the cruise for you! That said, it was relaxing and enjoyable. Entertainment and food were great. Diamond lounge was handled admirably, considering there were something like 1200 Diamond members on board this cruise! Ports of call were fun; I could have spent a lot more time in ...
I have always wanted to do a transatlantic cruise and this one was reasonably priced. All of the ports were interesting. I particularly liked Mallorca and Barcelona, where i am staying a few days. Barcelona is a beautiful city and I highly recommend the Hotel Diagonal. They food and entertainment on the ship were great. The Chefs Table special dinner was excellent.
I would highly recommend ...
