This is my 4th cruise on Grandeur of the Seas and I look forward to sailing on her again very soon. The ship has a spacious feel and her interior is very clean and well maintained by a loving, friendly crew. The March 18th sailing was her last before her scheduled drydock in Freeport. While talking with the crew many of her refurbishment details were unknown however I am assuming in addition to ...
I was worried as this ship is the smallest and oldest of Rroyal Caribbeans fleet but I was greatly surprised!! The staff was supper attentive and friendly, the boat wasn't crowded at all there was always available pool chairs available, and the food was absolutely delicious I was obsessed and gained a few pounds for sure LOL. We loved our dinner staff Yogi and Iputu! Yogi did some magic tricks for ...
I chose this cruise because of the timing. My daughter had her college spring break this week and it fit into our schedule nicely for a mother-daughter SB cruise. The itinerary was pretty light (only two stops in Key West and Labadee and two days at sea) but it ended up being great. The ship was older and shows its age in the rooms and some common areas but is well maintained and clean. We had a ...
Chose this cruise for date, itinerary and price was good.
Grandeur is a smaller ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet. the line is known for their massive ships. if you have kids or are looking for waterslides, roller coasters, ice rinks, bowling alleys. etc. this is not the ship for you. She does not have all the activities of the large ships. If you don't need all that then give this ship a ...
This was my second cruise ever. Grew up around boats; and have zero interest in the enormous new ships. I want to see the ocean at all times. Grandeur is Royal Caribbeans "Vision Class," and has acres of windows. It is very easy to get around. I never used the elevators.
Previously I cruised in a suite; this time I wanted to see if the cheapest cabin on the oldest ship would suit me. The fare ...
Weve been on many cruises out of the UK - mainly P and O but sometimes Fred Olsen and once on SAGA but we thought we would try something different and had heard so many stories about RCCL
We were not disappointed!
food and facilities were on a parity but the atmosphere on board was way better as was the entertainment in general
We liked the shows in the main lounge and also the band and ...
I chose Grandeur of the Seas for an inexpensive bonus cruise before my next sailing in February. I am so happy I did! The base cruise fare for my spacious Oceanview stateroom was only $150 which is ridiculously low. Arrival at the port and embarkation was handled in less than 10 minutes, then a short wait in the gangway and I was onboard. Stateroom 8043 was very spacious, it seemed wider and ...
We just completed the 9 night Southern Caribbean Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas. The ship may be smaller and "seasoned" but it offers an excellent classic cruise experience. By classic I mean it doesn't have massive water slides, bumper cars or an ice rink -- the main attraction is cruising on the ocean. This smaller ship is quaint and easy to get around on without the newer ship bells and ...
There may not be all of the bells and whistles but this boat still had enough to do. I would suggest this boat only if you have many ports on your itinerary. If you are at sea for more than 2 days I would suggest another option so you have more things available to do. Our kids did miss some activities though we were only at sea for the first and last day of the cruise so that worked out well. ...
We loved this itinerary and price so much we booked back to back cruises. Royal Caribbean and the islands didn't disappoint. 12 beaches in 14 days. Some rain but it never lasted for more than a couple of minutes. The food was great and Johnathan ensured we had our usual window seat every night for dinner. Due to low numbers, the Windjammer buffet wasn't open for dinner the first ...
