I chose this cruise because of the timing. My daughter had her college spring break this week and it fit into our schedule nicely for a mother-daughter SB cruise. The itinerary was pretty light (only two stops in Key West and Labadee and two days at sea) but it ended up being great. The ship was older and shows its age in the rooms and some common areas but is well maintained and clean. We had a Jr Suite on level 8. If I could have, I would have chosen level 7 because there were deck chairs scooching above me all night and I had to wear earplugs! But no desirable rooms on deck 7 were left. There are no water slides or crazy things up top but I did my homework and knew all this in advance. We had a great time. There were a lot of pool side activities and I don't honestly know how the mega ships could duplicate that sense of comraderie. RCL also did a tribute to Intl Women's Day with a cake in the main lounge/lobby area, as well as a tribute to our troops, all branches of the service, veterans and those who did not make it home. They had a flag cake and a staff member played taps. It was very touching and classy. My dad is a combat wounded veteran so it meant a lot to me.

Food: quite good most of the nights. We dined in the main dining room every night for dinner and the Windjammer cafe all other meals. The main dining room was always packed. I did not buy the drink package. Its a rip off unless you are drinking 8 drinks a day, and I don't drink sodas either. I did not buy a specialty dining package. My daughter did the sushi making class at Izumi and they could eat their food so she got her fix. Sign up early for that, its a small #.

Night time Entertainment: pretty good caliber for a cruise ship! They also had a visiting dance troop from Argentina who were amazing at the tango. There also was a magician and comedian other nights.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Clean, and well appointed but dated decor.

Port Reviews

Key West

Hemingway House, Southernmost Point, Lighthouse, Cemetery, Duvall Street, Mel Fishers Museum. We rented bikes. All on our own, no ship excursion.

Labadee

Beautiful beaches, tons of chairs, small enough to walk around the whole place and explore. Did the coaster. Skip it. We layed on the beach in a lounge chair in Columbus Cove. Did not buy anything except coaster ride and a drink. Chairs are free, maybe for a tip in some spots.
