1-10 of 144 Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas Cruise Reviews for Gay & Lesbian Cruises to the Eastern Caribbean
I chose this cruise because of the timing. My daughter had her college spring break this week and it fit into our schedule nicely for a mother-daughter SB cruise. The itinerary was pretty light (only two stops in Key West and Labadee and two days at sea) but it ended up being great. The ship was older and shows its age in the rooms and some common areas but is well maintained and clean. We had a ...
Wow. Where to begin. I read the reviews before booking and boarding so I knew what we were in for a ship that was small and outdated, but that's not what made this cruise unbearable. We were in an Owners Suite and it was nice. However, it was below Windjammer Cafe and the noise between 2-4am was horrible. Woke us up every night. The service on board was very over taxed and lacking but I could tell ...
Chose this cruise for date, itinerary and price was good.
Grandeur is a smaller ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet. the line is known for their massive ships. if you have kids or are looking for waterslides, roller coasters, ice rinks, bowling alleys. etc. this is not the ship for you. She does not have all the activities of the large ships. If you don't need all that then give this ship a ...
This was my second cruise ever. Grew up around boats; and have zero interest in the enormous new ships. I want to see the ocean at all times. Grandeur is Royal Caribbeans "Vision Class," and has acres of windows. It is very easy to get around. I never used the elevators.
Previously I cruised in a suite; this time I wanted to see if the cheapest cabin on the oldest ship would suit me. The fare ...
This is my fourth cruise this year, my first on Grandeur of the Seas. My others have been on Independence (1) and Freedom (2) of the seas. Grandeur is a smaller class of ship, and that was both a positive and occasionally a negative. Let me summarize first by saying that it was a wonderful cruise with so many wonderful moments.
The Good
Don’t laugh, but the soft serve ice cream was ...
I chose Grandeur of the Seas for an inexpensive bonus cruise before my next sailing in February. I am so happy I did! The base cruise fare for my spacious Oceanview stateroom was only $150 which is ridiculously low. Arrival at the port and embarkation was handled in less than 10 minutes, then a short wait in the gangway and I was onboard. Stateroom 8043 was very spacious, it seemed wider and ...
We chose this cruise for its price. We selected an aft facing junior suite (8588) and paid just over $1,500 for fare, taxes and port fees for the two of us.
1st, the good:
*The view from our cabin was the best thing about this cruise. The wake of the ship is simply mesmerizing.
*The balcony was huge.
*We also had a very attentive room attendant (Clinton) who went above and beyond for ...
Wanted to do a cruise over the Christmas and New Year holiday. This cruise left from Baltimore which was very convenient. Expected kids to be on board but didn’t expect them to be able to run amok. No parental supervision or any reprimand from the cruise line. Our dinner table was for sitting 12 people. We requested to get a table for 4 and the maitre d’ was very arrogant in our request and ...
On St. Lucia rude & pushy Vishal at Diamonds Int. (What’s the matter lady, don’t you like diamonds?) And Vijay at Gold Mine, pushy like a hungry used car salesman.
Amit, Diamond lounge concierge and John, Diamond lounge bar waiter both very good. Cabin attendant Edison was most accommodating to us.
Accessible officers on this ship were good. They were friendly and genuinely concerned for ...
We have departed from Baltimore on other occasions and love the ease of their port.
Departing from ports such as NY are nowhere near as nice and easy and friendly as the Baltimore Port.
We had an 11 night cruise that included stops at St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Saint Maarten and Antigua. Each island having something different to offer and enjoyed each and everyone.
We had purchase ...
