Review of Celebrity Reflection cruise through the Greek Isles 29 Sep to 9 Oct 2017
My wife and I were on a 10 day cruise on the Celebrity Reflection from Civitavecchia (Rome) through the Greek Isles and return. The cruise was booked through Costco travel. My review will address the major areas of the cruise.
Itinerary
The cruise went from Civitavecchia to Messina, Malta, Rhodes, Mykonos, ...
The Celebrity Reflection is a great ship, well designed and beautifully maintained. Embarkation was a breeze because we came early and boarded with no lines.
Stateroom was fine for a small cabin and bathroom, but it functioned well.
We dined in Blu most of the time and the service and food were excellent. Broad selection and good choice of wines. Occasionally we went to the buffet because ...
We chose this cruise since it was going to all of the ports we were interested in going to. We were both celebrating our 70th birthdays.
We have been on Celebrity before on an Alaskan cruise two years ago and were quite satisfied. However, this cruise left a little to be desired. The cabin was very nice and our cabin steward was terrific. Even though we are now 70 years old, we are not ...
This was our first time on Celebrity and we were very impressed. We have traveled on smaller, more exclusive lines and the ship and the experience on Celebrity were clearly better. The ship was large but that just meant more room to move around. It was always possible to get away from the crowds. The departures and arrivals related to the shore excursions were well planned and executed. These ...
We cruised on board Reflection in September 2017 and had a wonderful time. Embarkation in Rome was really slick and we hardly had a wait getting on the ship.
The ship is in great condition and we were very impressed by all the facilities on-board. All the public areas were cleaned and polished to within an inch.
Cabin - Very impressed by our cabin which was towards the rear of deck 6. We had ...
This was our third cruise and our second on the Reflection. We chose it for the itinerary and the ship itself.
The embarkation process was once again very smooth and we were in our stateroom by about 1.30. our cabin was quiet, on the hump close to the elevators and kept in pristine condition by Adolpho.
We enjoyed anytime dining in Opus most nights where we had great service from ...
That was our second cruise with Celebrity. The embarkation on Celebrity Refllection was really fantastic, a huge difference with Celebrity Silluette we were on last year, where we had to wait in line for a long time. The cabin was about the same, clean and comfortable. It was midship on the 7 floor. The crew members were fantastic. But few things really need improvement: the dining, entertainment ...
We had a wonderful time on celebrity reflection and the quality of the service was amazing. We had a beautiful room. The food in the main restaurant and in the Oceanview cafeteria was amazing. You had many choices and there was enough of everything. The quality of the food I would rate 10 and the staff on the ship Wanted to make sure that you were happy with great service.
Everything was ...
This was the third leg of our dream Honeymoon we had planned for two years. We had spent 10 days in France with friends and family and 5 days in Rome in an apartment we found on Airbnb (WONDERFUL!). We chose this cruise for the itinerary and it was the best way for us to visit several places in one trip. We had also reserved all our transfers with a private company (All Transfers in Rome) and it ...
This is our fifth cruise with Celebrity. Our first cruise was on the Solstice in the Fall of '10. We had not been on a Solstice level ship since that time having cruised on the Summit two times and the Constellation last year. We were excited to get back on the bigger ships in preparation for a TA hopefully in '19. The Reflection is beautiful and a big improvement over the M-class ships. Public ...
