This was our first time on Celebrity and we were very impressed. We have traveled on smaller, more exclusive lines and the ship and the experience on Celebrity were clearly better. The ship was large but that just meant more room to move around. It was always possible to get away from the crowds. The departures and arrivals related to the shore excursions were well planned and executed. These actually worked better than on the smaller ship and the waits were never long. In fact, the excursions virtually always left within minutes of the assigned times. The majority of the staff could not have been friendlier or more committed to service. Our butler (Rene) and our room attendant (Raj) greeted us with smiles each time we saw them and were always readily available to help. They made us feel very special. The ship was immaculate both inside our stateroom and throughout the ship. We were careful in purchasing our packages (including drinks, gratuities, and internet services) so there were no add-on expenses. We had a suite so our dining choices included Luminae. The food was very good so there was no need to pay extra for specialty restaurants. The staff at Michaels, a club available to suite guests, were also very attentive and responsive. Our entertainment was impacted by the Florida hurricane (fewer floor shows), however the entertainment was still top notch. The only minor issue was related to one of the excursions purchased from Celebrity. It was an excursion to Messina, Sicily. We were very disappointed in the excursion ... it basically wasted our day. An even bigger disappointment was that when we complained, all we got was an argument from the shore excursion staff ... no offers to make it right. We did not use Celebrity for our Santorini excursion and the excursion could be done on our own very easily. The Canyon Ranch spa service was very good and the fitness center was well maintained and equipped.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

The room was great. It felt very spacious. It was very well planned with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was plenty big and it had a full tub and shower (including a whirlpool and wall jets in the shower). The balcony was well furnished.

Port Reviews

Athens (Piraeus)

Booked A Taste of Athens - Small Group ... was a good trip with a good guide

Santorini

Had a great tour of the entire island. Planning this independently of the cruise line worked well ... even with tendering.

Mykonos

Fascinating place. Very windy when we were there, but worth enduring.

Rhodes

Enjoyed a stroll through the old town and had a great lunch upstairs at Archipelagos.

Rhodes

This is a beautiful place ... many good photos. Enjoyed seeing the countryside.

Malta (Valletta)

We visited Marsaxlokk Bay on a Saturday when they had a locals market in operation. It was packed with people. The Bay was sort of dirty. We would not recommend this stop.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Hired independent guide ... great tour of Coloseum
