We were celebrating an Anniversary and a Birthday and wanted to revisit one of the most beautiful places on earth once again.
We departed under sunny skies for 10 beautiful days visiting 4 ports of call. Our cabin was a small balcony cabin but after deciding to live out of our suitcases all went well. Our bed was comfortable and we were not in the room very much as we ate in the dining room ...
We had taken an Alaska cruise on Grand Princess in June and had so much fun, we decided to do it again in September. We luckily got the same suite as the June cruise. We had the same wait staff in club class dining.
Getting on the ship was a snap, just like in June. We were able to go to our suite right away.
We had fantastic meals with the same wait staff as our June cruise. Believe ...
My friend invited me to travel with her family group to celebrate our birthdays. The Family choose the cruise line, so I was not involved in the decision of a cruise line or ship. Their travel agent only cruises on Princess. This was my second cruise to the Inner Passage. First was on Celebrity (fabulous!). I was falsely under the impression that Princess is the top of the line in cruising. I was ...
We went on a friends 50th anniversary party, with 81 people. We loved the small boat excursion through fiords, and we loved the train ride the time before we cruised, and we loved the gardens in Victoria the time before we cruised. We loved our Botticelli waiters Joseph and Alexandro. I loved Reena, and Xanisha in the spa. The spa shoes were never available but always in the dirty hamper. The spa ...
I would give this cruise 3.5 stars rather than 4. The embarkation was a breeze and didn't take long at all. It was very efficient. We boarded the ship in Seattle. The cruise ship could use some updates and remodeling. Overall, the cruise ship was okay. Our first stop was in Ketchikan. I don't remember the exact name of the shore excursions, but the one in Ketchikan involved a scenic tour and a ...
We liked the selection of food at the buffet but the taste wasn’t great nor the preparation. I got sick after the first night after eating there the day before (horrible diarrhea & vomiting) or lunch from the Gastric Pub that same day. Share restaurant was great, the only one with good food. The Crown restaurant, my husband had tender filet, mine was tough. I should have taken a picnic basket ...
Chose this cruise for the itinerary. We lucked out as it was sunny and cool everyday. Sweatshirt and/or jacket in the morning and at sea days due to the wind. Otherwise, a long sleeve shirt or light sweater did the trick. In Ketchikan. We walked around town, and purchased t-shirts. Saw salmon, an eagle and a seal off the bridge in Creek ? Took the Tracy Arm tour but couldn’t go because of the ice ...
My first cruise. Great adventures, great scenery, great food, great service with great friends. We were given adjoining room. Think epic slumber party, Best trip ever! Danced with Nartive Americans, rode tram, hiked trails, train excursion, sailed to glacier, petted sled dog pups. Views so beautiful that pictures don’t do them justice. Couple we met said this was their 4th a Princess Cruise to ...
My sister's husband died this year and my other sister and I took her on the cruise of her dreams to Alaska. Our ages are 79, 78 and 75. I love Princess Cruise lines and have made the trip 2X before. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly and we maneuvered in and out quickly.
The dining staff was exceptionally friendly, prompt and accommodating. The entertainment was not as ...
We had sailed on the Emerald Princess two years ago in the Baltic, so we were familiar with the ship. (See previous post “A Wonderful Ship but a Disappointing Itinerary” from July 2016). There have been few major changes, so I will only repeat that the Emerald is beautiful ship and is being maintained reasonably well.
We had cruised to Alaska about 10 years ago and wanted to do it again. We had ...
