Last minute trip to Norway

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Azura

We are a couple in our 50s who have done plenty of cruises before and have actually been on Azura twice before. This was a last minute cruise – 7 nights in the fjords, booked (when we unexpectantly managed to get a week off work together) about a week before we travelled. As such we ended up with a guaranteed inside cabin when we usually hand pick the balcony we want!! We were assigned ...

Wanted to cruise and wanted to see Norway, what a super experience for my first Cruise. Ventura is a well appointed, spotlessly clean. Staff lovely, nothing too much trouble. Food in Bay Tree Restaurant exceptional, waiters lovely, service excellent. Plenty of choice, can honestly say enjoyed everything I ate. Buffet good for breakfast and lunch, great choices, tea and coffee always ...

Good way to relax (unless you love a moan)

I'm on the same "eventful" cruise Mr. Unknown had been (previous review). Key points to address: 1. Nearly no cruise ship has a helicopter pad - airlifting is standard procedure, as is evacuating rooms / restricting balcony access. This was all done in strict accordance with safety procedures, and I have to say the crew did this well despite inconvenience this might cause. 2. We did have ...

Brilliant for a solo traveller with mobility problems

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Britannia

I chose this cruise for the beautiful scenery of the Norwegian Fjords. Due to strong winds we were unable to embark straight away as it was dangerous to use the air bridge but we were kept informed and I actually boarded 15 minutes before my allotted time. First time using a mobility scooter but very helpful staff helped me to board by a conventional gangplank. No trouble disembarking, off ...

A fabulous Easter Norweigian Fjord Cruise

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Azura

Well, we have been home for a week now so time to look back on our 7 night Norwegian Fjord Cruise on Azura. By way of background, just to say that we travelled as a 50 something couple, with no children. We like to do our own thing on cruises and we don’t tend to go to the theatre for the evening shows as they generally don’t interest us. We are happier enjoying a nice meal and a cocktail or 2 ...

We really like this vessel - no bling just calming, muted decor throughout. Balcony room D117 forward, clean and in good condition. Love having a proper-sized shower with fantastic water pressure, large TV with tremendous movie selection, plenty of tea & coffee, fridge if you need it. Superbly comfortable bed. Balcony a little on the small side but fine for 2. All public areas on the ship ...

We chose this cruise as it was the only short 2-night getaway we could find in April, and it was the first time cruising with P&O. We were a party of 11 people and we all had an amazing time, It was so amazing I’m going back on the ship next year with a group of friends for a while week this time. Firstly embarkation was an absolute BREEZE. We got there, dropped off our luggage, waited in a ...

We picked P & O for the itinerary, visiting so many islands including Antigua, St Kitts, St Maarten, Aruba all via Barbados. Firstly so glad we booked a Premium flight from Newcastle, great service and good food and drinks. Embarkation in Barbados was swift. We were met on the tarmac by mini buses and we were on the ship in 50 minutes! Our cases were delivered at about 9pm. So about 4 hours ...
