A basically wonderful trip

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

It’s been over 10 years since I traveled with Oceania. Our overall experience was positive. The ship is in need of some renovation as it is showing signs of aging in some areas. We werein a standard veranda cabin, and was satisfactory. The beds were very comfortable and the room layout satisfactory. The shower is quite small and a larger person would have difficulties. The dining experiences ...

The obvious reason was ship included Antarctic on this trip, as well as most of S America. Great trip though, excellent staff in restaurants. Food, which used to be excellent was average at best. Repetitive menu in Main Dining Room after 12 days. Portions were minimal at best, You could actually tell that a cost reduction was in effect by selections Simple things like coffee, which used to be ...

Great experience all way around. Stateroom was on the 7th level. My room keeper was excellent. Room was prepared immediately after I left. He noticed any repairs that required fixing and had a service person take care of it at once without delay. Very friendly and helpful. All staff on board were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty with great variety over the 24 days. ...

When our (my wife and I) scheduled Crystal Cruise to SE Asia fell apart due to multiple schedule changes, and with 3 weeks suddenly open on our calendars, we opted at the last minute to schedule this Rio to Buenos Aires itinerary (as far away as possible from covid-19 issues). We literally booked on Sunday before a Wedn departure from Rio. We considered a Celebrity Buenos Aires roundtrip as well ...

Smooth sailing with beautiful public spaces

The itinerary was a main reason for taking this cruise. The staff and food are exceptional. My only complaint is the size and layout of the cabins. We are in a concierge cabin and it's too small. The bathroom is just okay with a bathtub and separate small stall shower. The closet and drawer space are totally inadequate. I have to move the desk chair to walk between that and the coffee table ...

Amazing Amazon cruise was very good, but not the best Oceania experience

Background: We are veteran cruisers and travelers. This was our 27th cruise, our 7th cruise on Oceania and our first cruise that included ports in Brazil, including a week on the Amazon river. It was our longest cruise to date (22 days). Our primary reasons for cruising on Oceania are their unique itineraries and destinations. Our cruise was re-booked in its entirety right at final payment ...

We boarded the boat in Rio, after a delay to sanitize the ship. We did receive an email with the delay in boarding the day before and managed to check our bags and take the tour we arranged. We were given sandwiches and lemonade while we waited. We were aware that most of the ports were small without experienced tour guides and air conditioned buses. We found some private tours that were ...

We had never been to South America so we decided on this cruise. Rio De Janeiro and Buenos Aires were places on our bucket list. Our final decision for this trip was that the price of this cruise seemed to be quite good. Oceania is a our favorite cruise line. The size of the ship is perfect for us. Not too much waiting. Food is excellent, especially at the specialty restaurants. Service is ...

We sailed from Rio to Valparasio. We had previously sailed on the Marina 4 years ago during the summer of her maiden year. The ship is in excellent shape with beautiful art work and tasteful decor. We can't say enough about the Crew, everyone from the cabin stewards, dining staff, baristas, reception desk and Canyon Ranch Spa staff were exceptional helpful, friendly and could not do enough to make ...

First time on Oceania line. First time on a smaller ship (700 or so passengers). Terrific experience overall and a wonderful series of ports in Brazil, Uraguay and Argentina. Highlights: food, service, housekeeping, complimentary water and soft drinks, bar and wine staff, cruise director (Leslie Jon), premium restaurant (Toscana), cruise entertainment staff, veranda, ample deck seating, ...
