AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

The Jade is no jewel

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Jade

The good: The ship is in great condition in all common areas. we had great weather once outside of Tampa. No issues with sailing. Disembarkation was quick we got off at 8:30 am without effort. I'm focusing review on food and entertainment since these are hot button issues currently. The Bad: The food on this ships sailing was a C- in the buffet and the MDR. The overall vibe was that NCL ...

The food was below the past high standards of NCL.

We enjoyed our cruise and overall had a good time. The itinerary was great, the crew friendly and helpful, the activities were diversified. The ship was sold out and very crowded at times, especially the pool and early dining times. Without a reservation the waiting time to enter any Main Dining Room before 8 pm was at least 30 min. Lines to enter MDR would form long before opening time. Once, ...

We’ve sailed with NCL for years, always a great experience. We’ve also cruised with several other lines We choose to stay with NCL because of the “freestyle dining” We’ve booked the Haven once , the owners suite twice all the others have been suite balcony or standard balcony’s We also booked a cruise for the Mediterranean in November prior to boarding the jade … may have to rethink it ...

Disappointing

We had a great experience a few years ago on the Breakaway so we just assumed it would follow into this cruise. Not the case......... We had 10 of us on this cruise ship and all feel the same. The Jade has nothing to do for the kids (we had our 2 grandchildren ages 4 and 6). The activities are blah. Bingo and deal or no deal which cost around $50 a person to play. The evening shows are ...

An Average, Enjoyable Transatlantic Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We chose this cruise as we wanted to experience a transatlantic crossing. This itinerary suited us as Portugal is a country we had not been to, and we wanted to visit New York again. We are Platinum Latitude members and after sailing on a few other cruise lines we prefer the NCL Freestyle experience and Speciality Dining options. We do not like the bigger ships and mainly choose a cruise based ...

This is the second cruise we’ve been on with NCL. (The first was on the Pearl.) We’ve been wanting to go to Greece for a while now. Our travel agent told us a cruise would be the best way to see a variety of the islands. First of all their website is slow and horrible. When you purchase anything it takes a while to show up on your account. Don’t bother uploading your photo. We tried several times ...

We are repeat Sixthman cruisers and on this cruise the music did not disappoint, but Norwegian cruise line certainly did! The buffet food would be horrible in a public school cafeteria let alone a cruise ship. It was only a 5 day cruise but there were so many repeated menu items! The specialty dinners were just OK. In the Brazilian restaurant, we were served spoiled filet minon...it smelled ...

The itinerary was the best thing about this cruise

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because we had sailed with NCL before. We left Athens and went to Rhodes, Cyprus, Santorini, Kusadasi, Istanbul, Jerusalem, Haifa(Galilee), Pathos, Mykonos, and then back to Athens. We spent 4 days in Athens before the cruise. It was blistering Texas hot while in Athens and on the cruise. We toured Athens, 105 degrees when we went up to the ...

Nice ports, but not a restful cruise

We chose this cruise due to the itinerary featuring ports in Israel, Turkey and Greece. We had sailed on the Norwegian Jade before and had enjoyed our previous experience. Airport Transfer We paid for the transit from the airport, due to the fact that we did not have a lot of time between the arrival of our flight and the sailing. The coach bus experience was fine, although the check in ...

Food is blend (no imagination). Staff is ok. Feels like mass market. No class. Customers are borderline rude

Our steward is great. Entertainment overall is not bad. Shopping is lousy. Casino is lousy. Art is not good too. Too many hidden or complicated charges on cruise. Constantly feels like it’s a game to dodge not being over charged. Not a relaxing experience at all. Have to queue up for everything to get credit back (so outdated whereby it intentionally makes it hard to get money back, in today’s ...
