Our first cruise

While the ship and sailing company were chosen for us, as this originally started as big group/family trip, I wouldn't have chosen any other for our first cruise experience. The ship was fun, full of entertainment, food was delicious and abundant, but most of all we are extremely pleased with how incredibly clean the entire ship was maintained! We had the pleasure of being able to enjoy the ...

Very good cruise and experience. To see the fall colors was spectacular and the daily tours were well organized and wonderful. We ate in the specialty restaurants 6 nights of the 13, and the Cafe other nights. We also enjoyed O'Sheenans for lunches. Originally from upstate NY, we just had never been to the provinces, except Quebec. They were delightful and all so different. Returning to ...

DINING/DRINKS/SERVICE: We paid for the Meal Specialty Dining Package, Adult Ultimate Beverage Package and the Prepaid Service Charge. It was money well spent and a great value. We were able to eat at four specialty restaurants and the food in each was excellent. The Venetian Main Dining Room also had great food. Some of the desserts were better than what we had in the Specialty Restaurants. ...

We chose NCL due to affordability and its casual atmosphere. We especially enjoyed these entertainers: Harry 0 the Irish guy, the Ukrainian aerialists, Jose and Patti, and the Elements show. La Bistro and Teppanyaki both A+. Cagney’s B (tough filet mignon), Bamboo C (over-seasoned), O’Sheehan’s B+ (good breakfast and lunch, other times not enough servers), Venetian and Aqua B (tough red meat, over ...

We chose this cruise because our daughter and son-in-law were going along and the time frame fit their schedules. We have cruised on Norwegian many times but never on the Dawn. Prior to going, I read several negative reviews and was hesitant that we chose the right cruise for their first time. We had a wonderful time. Our cabins were always immaculate, there was no smell anywhere as I had ...

I really like Norwegian ships. I have only been on several, but plan many more. The ship was clean and the food was good. I booked the last minute as a solo traveler. I did not have any of the specials (food or beverage packages). The comp restaurants were great. The Solo Hostess made the experience fun and interesting. She made sure there was a solo meet-up every day. Made sure we had ...

Wife and I took the 7 day cruise out of Manhattan and had a wonderful trip. A little cold and windy especially in Canada but we knew that would be a strong possibility when we scheduled for May. Weather was much better on the US leg of the cruise. Stayed in penthouse suite 10002 and loved the room and the added service that came along with it. Food was very good, we stayed away from the ...

We have been on the Dawn twice before this trip but this is the first time since it was refurbished. We had gotten a good price and it included prepaid tips plus three other choices of extras. We chose the Drinks Package, Internet Package and $50 per Port Excursion Credit. Since we are Platinum, we received vouchers for two alternative restaurants as well as the other Platinum perks. We chose an ...

Amazing time!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We loved our time on the Dawn. I truly cannot say enough - it was my first and my husband's third cruise. Everything went beautifully and we had many romantic, fun memories. I cannot wait to cruise again! The staff were exceptional. We felt pampered, appreciated and were utterly relaxed upon our return home. We did a wine tasting, lots of shore excursions, trivia, the comedy show, a game ...

This was the first time this cruise was offered, Boston to the Caribbean and back to Boston. The 6 sea days, 3 down and 3 back were something, including the Nor'easter that had the boat really rolling for about 24 hours. That storm was the first sea day, luckily this cruise was mostly experienced cruisers who just laid low for the day. We enjoyed the trip down just the same. It was followed ...
