I worked on Norwegian in 2005. I was expecting as a passenger a different experience. 3500 passengers is way too many on a ship. There was never a good time to take the elevator, the pool is WAY too small and there are not enough chairs. By the 3rd day I was determined to get a pool seat, to go out at 7 am and see all of the chairs reserved with towels. No one was monitoring this, it made it ...
I am a frequent cruiser and would NEVER travel on this ship again. I selected this cruise to celebrate my birthday and noted this on my reservation. My birthday was completely overlooked by the cruise staff and Guest Services was rude and unapologetic about this oversight. Also, reservations are required to attend most entertainment events and were very difficult to get since the cruise was so ...
The Escape is a fantastic ship. Plenty to do and a friendly staff. We were fortunate to win an upgrade to a balcony room and it faced AFT. Room was cleaned and well maintained. We did not book excursions through Norwegian but booked separately. The entertainment was excellent. It was our first cruise that we had to make reservations for shows. We tried to use their APP but it was pretty well ...
I have been on Norwegian Cruise lines in the past. I have to say, I will never go on another cruise again. I'll fly to my destination. It's all about quantity and NOT quality where in the past NCL took pride in everything, the waiters came to the table with the food orders on silver platters, with silver covers and the covers was taken off then the plate was placed in front of you on the table. ...
We are avid cruisers and have tried a few lines and thought NCL was a good option for our family. As we were on the ship I made notes for the purpose of writing this review so hope the info is helpful.
Ship: Large, clean ship with lots of activities. Although this ship has a capacity of 4000 passengers we never felt there were highly congested areas however as with any large ships sea days the ...
We did enjoy ourselves but the ship was very noisy.
The ship was too big and no matter where you went it was crowded. It appears that Norweigan is marketing too the younger generation, there were alot of strollers. Some kids were well behaved others not so much. We are retired and travel when kids are still in school, not sure why they weren't in school.
Cagneys steakhouse was ...
We just came off the Dawn, Boston to Bermuda. embarkation was not too bad at all and we made it onto the ship in about 45 mins. Once on the ship we walked around to get the layout...being lunch time we headed to the buffet in the back of the ship....total mayhem, we opted to head to the pool deck for a burger ...which was good. They announced rooms open and we went to our balcony cabin 10206, ...
I live in the Boston area so a cruise out of Boston and/or terminating in Boston is a plus (minimizing air travel is always a plus). Embarking/disembarking was typical for an ocean going cruise as was the cabin and most other amenities (I'm a six time cruiser, "typical" means quite good and no complaints). Dining was free style so no reserved table in the evening and a different wait staff each ...
We took a cruise from Boston to Bermuda. The cruise ship was the Dawn. There were some positives like the nightly show and Bermuda itself. The staff was over and beyond and they would get 5 stars from me. The reason my rating is so low are the reasons below.
1) Food. Everything we ate was mediocre. People say that the add on restaurants are better but, we tried those too, and had way better ...
This was DD's college graduation cruise, and she brought her high school best friend, who had also just graduated. Had the suite decorated and a cake delivered. Made them both quite happy! Total party was Mom, Dad, son, daughter, graduate daughter, and best friend.
Arrived in Boston a couple of days early. Stayed in a lovely VRBO that accommodated all 6 of us. Walked the Freedom ...
