Disney is taking really good care of the Wonder

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Disney Wonder

The Disney Wonder is the last ship I sailed pre-pandemic in January 2020. Although the ship looked in decent shape then, DCL had the Wonder spend some time at a drydock during the pandemic and the room and common areas felt "refreshed" although nothing significant had changed. This near 25-year old ship, on the outside, looks better than some of the 5 years old ship from a major ...

Amazing re-positioning cruise from New Orleans to Seattle via Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

I chose this cruise because of the multiple ports offered many of which I had not visited. The Norwegian Pearl is a beautiful well maintained ship which is staffed by the most amazing crew ever. I have cruised multiple times and have enjoyed most all of the staff on all my cruises, but the Pearl's staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their work and their coworkers. They were all friendly and ...

Cruise of a lifetime!

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Prior to our cruise we spent 4 days in New Orleans. Very fun city. Restaurants we would recommend are: The Joint (BBQ) Katies (one of the best meals I have ever had) and the Cafe Cakery for breakfast. We chose the cruise based on the itinerary through the Panama Canal. We enjoyed Belize and the private island. We were looking forward to Costa Rica and Guatemala that were also on the ...

New Orleans to Seattle, through the Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We wanted to sail through the Panama Canal, and along the way, we made stops at Cartagena, Columbia; Costa Rica; Leon, Nicaragua; Antigua, Guatemala, Acapulco, Mexico; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Los Angeles and finally Seattle. We live three hours from Seattle, and it was great not having to fly across the country again to get home. We loved Jim Badger's piano playing and jokes onboard each ...

5 Star well done NCL

Choose this cruise for the Panama Canal itinerary. Had great weather which helps, but really an amazing cruise start to finish. Ship was in great shape, staff were fantastic and hard working. Met lots of great people. I was very impressed with this NCL cruise. Food was great and available all the time so were cold drinks. Buffet is laid out nicely so line ups are minimal. It was so popular ...

Awesome Cruise

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I had the best time on this cruise. I have been on many cruises with lots of companies but this cruise prompted me to join cruise critic and write this review. I have read other reviews and understand that the Dawn is old but she still is a beauty and the staff take care of her well. Apart from a bit of wear and tear she is in great condition which was surprising as I was expecting her to barely ...

Spring Break Cruise

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Elation

I went into my first cruise with extremely low expectations. It was my final college Spring Break week; I figured it would be mediocre, the food would probably stink and just overall be a cheap cruise. The boat is on the older side of their fleet but other than that I was completely wrong. The Carnival Elation staff was awesome. The first day I went to the dining hall and asked a crew member ...

Great First Cruise!

This was my first cruise. Staff was GREAT, especially dining staff (GORAN!) Food was exquisite. I probably gained 10+ pounds. The rooms were not spacey, but definitely not cramped. IT GETS REALLY HOT IN THE ROOMS. This was the ONLY thing I didn't like about the cruise. (& the prices of drinks, I DEFINITELY recommend the Cheers! package) Comedic acts were great. There's LOTS of entertainment, ...

This was our third time cruising NCL, and first time on the Dawn. Other ships included the Pearl and Spirit. We selected this cruise because of the itinerary and previous good experiences on NCL. Have also cruised on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Ships many times. We left Chicago's snow and cold, and flew to New Orleans the day before our cruise. Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans ...

as a first time cruiser, everyone said you will be hooked! We were. Loved every moment of it! my husband being an old retire sailor, spent years at sea. He loved it. we were traveling with 3 other couples and all our rooms were nearby. We had the Empress Deck. they had interior rooms. We had a $30 upgrade to an ocean view. Sailing out of new orleans it takes 8 hours to get out of the channel into ...
