I will never set foot on that ship again (MSC SeaView)

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Seaview

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with my recent experience aboard the MSC Seaview. From start to finish, it was a truly horrible experience, and I feel compelled to bring these concerns to your attention. To begin with, the customer service provided by the forward-facing staff was nothing short of horrendous. It seemed as though they had no interest in ...

Wonderful itinerary, ship was very nice

Chose this cruise with a group of friends for the itinerary, size and amenities of ship, and price. Embarked at Civatavecchia, which was very quick and easy. This ship allows passengers to embark at multiple ports, so there are not hoards of people to move. Each day, there were people starting and ending their voyages, and others visiting ports for the day, using separate entrances. Worked very ...

Mostly Italians, screaming kids and teens with a cafeteria food

7 day Mediterranean cruise from Rome I measured mostly Italians, smattering of EU and few Americans and Asians. Lots of screaming kids and perfect teen bods in the elevator. So if you’re an overweight American you will feel out of place here. Solace seekers this ain’t your ship too. Huge ship packed full of people who drives like they walk to get food. My tea was knocked out of my hands ...

shore excursion cancellation policy

MSC’s policy is you have to cancel a shore excursion 48 hours in advance. Thursday evening I tried to cancel excursion for Saturday because thunderstorms are predicted in Genoa and we have a four hour walking tour. They refused to cancel the tour or refund our excursion because only 36 hours away instead of 48 hours. MSC policy is that they never cancel tour because of rain or thunderstorms ...

Beautiful ship with chaos

Good value! This ship is gorgeous with the best entertainment ever in the theater every night of the cruise. They speak multiple languages on the ship and we had a good time. The buffet is to be avoided at peak times with hordes of people, out of silverware and plates and cups and glasses! No hot milk for coffee or tea except for breakfast. Coffee can run cold most of the time. No ...

Horrible experience

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Grandiosa

We are presently on this cruise and am appalled by the operations. They disembark and embark in every port. What this means is that the Marketplace is impossible to maneuver in the morning with people wanting their last meal and others trying to get a meal before going on an excursion. No seats in dining area so you need to eat on lounge chair by pool. They also hold muster drills everyday so ...

Dreadful Ship don't bother if you want a relaxing cruise

This was a cruise for my wife and I to celebrate our 50th Birthdays together, check in was smooth and effortless the staff very polite, but then we got on board and immediately are hit with everything being upsold to us, drinks packages (already purchased) couldn't understand that we already had them and wanted to upsell us, next was the speciality restaurants not as aggressive as the drinks ...

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on MSC Poesia

The internet was terrible and expensive. We had to get several visas, but few were actually needed. For example, we had to have a visa to South Korea to board the ship, but later we found that no one needed a visa to SK. MSC will not give me a refund for the unnecessary visa. We paid for a larger room that did not exist on that ship, with no refund in sight. Food was decent, but not great. Rooms ...

4 and a half stars for MSC's lovely Seascape

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Seascape

I thought it might be informative for new MSC customers to hear about this vessel and compare it to brands American's are more accustomed to. We booked this cruise as the finale of a month-long Italian trip to bring us home to our apartment (not far from the cruise terminal). We have crossed the Atlantic in this manner 3 or 4 times with Norwegian from the same port, Civitavecchia We like ...

Just disembarked off the Grandiosa, stayed in a Yacht Club deluxe suite. Cabin 18014 was below pool deck, only heard moving of chairs once early in the morning. The service in the YC was good. Cabin was always cleaned promptly. Restaurant wait staff was good. We had the same waiter each night. Bartenders in Top Sail were great. The bad- entertainment was a major disappointment. Strings was ...
