The internet was terrible and expensive. We had to get several visas, but few were actually needed. For example, we had to have a visa to South Korea to board the ship, but later we found that no one needed a visa to SK. MSC will not give me a refund for the unnecessary visa. We paid for a larger room that did not exist on that ship, with no refund in sight. Food was decent, but not great. Rooms were clean, but not great. Entertainment was good; staff worked very hard. Most of the staff were very helpful; the concierge desk staff was very good. Shore excursions were not as good as tours on prior MSC cruises. They were rushed and often no meal time was scheduled (bring a snack with you for countries where you could bring food off the ship). Food staff didn’t speak English very well. I’ve been on several MSC cruises, and, after this experience, I cannot recommend an MSC cruise.
