Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Viking Neptune

The transfers transfers to and from the ship were very well organized. All the dining venues had many choices In the buffet and the restaurant. I have a food allergy and they went out of their way to compensate for that. The staff learned our names and greeted us in all the different venues. Speakers in the theater and on tours were very knowledgeable. The deluxe veranda was not very big and ...

Disappointing Cruise

We were in a Vista Suite on Deck 7 that was immaculate and in good repair except for the warn out safe (see picture of keyboard). While the staff was efficient and tried their best to please, there were strong negative aspects to the cruise. The food was awful. Although we dined in the 'Club Orange' Dining Room fo5 4 of the 7 nights the food was usually poorly prepared and repetitious. ...

Exactly the Relaxation We Needed

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

I'm 66. Traveled with 40-year-old daughter and a friend who's 48. We are all practicing attorneys with stressful careers, so we just wanted to relax, do a little reading, let someone else cook and clean - and take in a little entertainment. We got exactly what we wanted. Embarkation and disembarkation couldn't have been smoother or faster. Daughter and I had an aft veranda cabin and ...

Disappointed in the expedition, loved the crew

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on National Geographic Venture

This was our first Lindblad-National Geographic expedition. It will probably be our last. Before our expedition, we received luggage tags and name badges in a nice electronic accessories bag. Check-in for the expedition was at the Crown Plaza hotel in San Pedro, not at the pier. I had called the hotel to arrange parking and they told me it was only available if one was staying overnight at ...

Wonderful experience

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

We once again enjoyed sailing on the Ruby Princess. As far as I am concerned, sharing joy with the crew and other passengers is what makes a cruise most memorable. The crew sets the festive, heart warming, and fun tone, and the passengers pick up on this quickly. Every elevator ride becomes a chance to make new friends. This is not a traditional review, but I can only say the over-riding ...

Overpriced room, terrible food, great service.

Mini suite is disappointing and a waste of money, if you need an ocean view, stick to a regular balcony. Old, worn out couch, rusty railing, broken railing glass, paint stained patio furnature, cheap patio floor, dirty bathroom floor, and the shower drain was broken. Dining is just sad. Drinks are good, dont spring for "Premier" as it doesnt actually cover much, "Plus" will do just fine, if you ...

Pacific Coast Wine Cruise on the NCL Jewel

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

This was my second sailing on the Jewel. I absolutely love the smaller ships. They offered wonderful restaurants, staffing was fantastic and the itinerary was a repositioning cruise. The places we visited made the cruise even better on the west coast of North America. If this cruise was ever offered again, on a small ship, I would definitely sign up for it. Getting around on the Jewel was very ...

Rough Sea--Great Crew

Embarkation in Vancouver was quick and easy. It is a super easy port to go out of. Experienced some of the worst weather we ever had--for safety reasons Captain shut down the show one night and all outdoor spaces. He announced we could expect up 20-40 swells and I think we did lasting about 36-48 hours. I think the Captains exact announcement was "if you like rough weather then your gonna love ...

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Discovery Princess

This is my 2 nd time on the Discovery. Had a mini suite which was spacious. The best part was our Steward Arri. He made wonderful and he was so cheerful, much different than the last Steward in January. This was our 18th cruise on, so I can compare. Feel the food selection was lacking. What food I had was good. Buffet was good as well. Never waited to get in MDR. We went to the Crown for ...

Believe it you can lose your luggage on a cruise

The cruise was great. The ship was good, staff was friendly and the cabin was nice and clean as expected. We went on some great tours at ports we had not been to before. Our first night dining was not what we expected, taking nearly 2 hours. They seemed to be short staffed in the restaurant and we were waiting a long time between courses. We only managed to see one early show due to the ...
