Nassau is the default stop for all cruise ship going or coming from the Caribbean. I've been here 12 times. I lived on a sailboat in Nassau harbor for 2 months. I know it well. Most if not all the attractions are very close to the cruise port. You don't need any tours here. Just walk. Cabs are only $4 per person. The bus is $1.25.
