Just returned from a 4 night cruise aboard Millennium. First of all we were supposed to do key west / cozumel. we ended up with key west and nassua due to hurricane rina. this in no way was celebritys fault but quite frankly had i known i was going to the bahamas i would have never booked. nassua quite frankly is the pits but just the same i suppose to avoid the weather its what had to be done. ill concentrate on the ship etc. since i did not like the ports but again that was in no way an issue for the cruise line it was weather.
EMBARCATION was easy. showed up about 1130 am on board within 30 minutes. champagne welcome was very nice. first impression of the ship was clean, low key sophistication.
ROOM was a 2B deluxe balcony room #9004. my one and only complaint about the entire cruise was the connecting door to the other room. may as well not even have been there. the couple next door were not at all respectful to there neighbors with loud noise and very loud tv. again compliments to the crew on this matter though. when we complained about the noise the room steward taped up the door and it was amazing the amount of noise this simple procedure cut out. kudos to the crew for this act. the room was clean , plenty of room, nice balcony. our balcony was under the overhang from deck 10 and it actually helped block some of the sun and rain and i had no issues with this location as far as noise. however on this deck further aft some rooms under the pool area and around the stairs i could see would have noise issues.
nice room but has connecting door which is horrible for noise. if you get a connecting door ask them to seal it. it worked wonders for noise reduction
